President Joe Biden is openly defying the Supreme Court's decision on student debt forgiveness and is forging ahead with unconstitutional loan forgiveness.
In a letter to student borrowers, the Education Department’s Federal Student Aid office stated, "We believe the Supreme Court got it wrong. While we disagree with the Court’s decision, our Administration will not stop fighting to provide debt relief to borrowers. We will use every tool at our disposal to do so."
In other words, the Biden administration is ignoring the Supreme Court and will pursue every option to avoid the constitutional process and forgive debts via executive power.
The email was signed by Education Secretary Miguel Cardona meaning that there is no denying the Biden administration's intentions to defy the nation's highest court.
Student debt forgiveness was always a scheme that would get President Biden votes in return for loan forgiveness.
The plan is a bribe in every sense of the word, which is why the Biden administration is willing to defy the Supreme Court. If he loses votes from students that are in debt, it could cost Biden next year's election.
President Biden’s $430 billion student debt relief policy was going to forgive the debt of an estimated 40 million people.
Even a quarter of those Americans basing their vote off of Biden's debt relief plan would likely determine the outcome of next years election. But thanks to the Supreme Court, that plan is dead, for now.
The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that the HEROES Act of 2003 does not grant President Biden the authority to unilaterally forgive student debt.
Nevertheless, Biden has promised to "stop at nothing to find other ways to deliver relief to hard-working middle-class families."
Democrats are doing everything in their power to defy the Supreme Court and they aren't even hiding their disrespect of one of our highest institutions.
While President Biden works to circumvent the Supreme Court's decision on student loan debts, universities like Harvard are working on loopholes to evade the Supreme Court's ban on affirmative action.
Democrats have decided that there is no need to follow the spirit of the Supreme Court's rulings which will no doubt lead to legal challenges down the road.
However, future legal challenges are irrelevant for President Biden who just needs to secure a few million votes in next year's presidential election.
