Inflation hits 39-year high under Biden’s leadership: Report

With President Joe Biden at the helm, inflation in America has just reached a 39-year high, according to Fox Business.

A new Labor Department report, released on Friday, revealed that the consumer price index (CPI) rose 6.8% from November 2020 to November 2021. It rose 0.8% from October to November of this year alone.

To put that in perspective, the last time America saw such a huge jump was in 1982. In June of that year, inflation reached 7.1%, Fox Business reported.

November 2021 managed to surpass some of the worst inflation numbers on record in some areas, including durable goods. And it was all on Biden’s watch.

Biden accepts no responsibility

On Friday, after delivering his concluding remarks at the Summit for Democracy that he hosted, Biden commented on the faltering numbers.

Unsurprisingly, he blamed the soaring inflation numbers on everything but his policies. The president cited ongoing supply chain problem and the coronavirus pandemic as causes, declared that government spending “not the reason for inflation.”

Biden appeared optimistic that the inflation we are seeing will subside. “I think you’ll see it change sooner, quicker, and more rapidly than most people think,” he said, according to Breitbart.

Biden also suggested that his $1.75 trillion Build Back Better Act, which has yet to get through Congress, will help to fix the situation.

No one’s buying it, Joe

On Thursday, before the latest numbers were released, Biden attempted to lower expectations for the CPI report. In a statement, he said:

Fortunately, in the weeks since the data for tomorrow’s inflation report was collected, energy prices have dropped. The information being released tomorrow on energy in November does not reflect today’s reality, and it does not reflect the expected price decreases in the weeks and months ahead, such as in the auto market.

This wasn’t enough, however, to prevent the blowback that Biden has received since the report was released.

A poll released Friday, the same day that the report was released, revealed that inflation had actually surpassed the coronavirus pandemic to become the No. 1 cause of concern for Americans, according to Breitbart.
