‘I’m OK’: Biden without apparent injuries after tumble off bike

President Joe Biden’s latest tumble left him apparently unharmed, though it looked scary to those who saw him fall off his bike in the Rehobeth Beach area of Delaware as he was about to greet supporters.

This Sky News Australia video shows that he rode down the street looking fine, then stopped the bike and fell over while it was stationary. The announcer called the tumble a “metaphor for the Biden presidency,” or at least for the Biden economy.

After he fell, Secret Service members and others in his entourage scrambled to help him up, and he said, “I’m OK.” He appeared to be unhurt and went on to spend the rest of the day with his family.

No medical attention

He didn’t receive any medical attention for the tumble, in which he fell on his back and hit his head on the ground, but was wearing a helmet.

He spoke to reporters after attending afternoon mass at a church in Rehobeth Beach, and jumped up and down to show that he was fine.

At 79, any kind of fall could be serious, but it appears that he was not hurt in any significant way.

Biden is expected to be in Rehobeth Beach until Monday.

Holiday weekend

This weekend includes Father’s Day and Juneteenth, a holiday celebrating the end of slavery that has only been celebrated officially for a year or two.

The sky-high inflation and food prices are reportedly putting a damper on holiday celebrations, with 56% of people in a recent poll saying they fear they won’t be able to take a summer vacation this year.

Gas is hovering around $5.00 per gallon, making road trips more expensive, and food has jumped even more than the average of 8.6% inflation that was calculated in May.

Unlike Biden, his economy seems quite injured and in need of attention, and is having a much harder time getting back up again.
