President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline becomes increasingly apparent in virtually every interview and news conference he does, and his latest, with NBC’s Lester Holt, was no exception.
The sit-down interview, which is set to air before the Super Bowl, was eye-opening. Holt questioned the president about an Army Intelligence report, among other intel reports, that warned of the dangers of a U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, and Biden’s response was to reject them outright.
Holt gave the president time to collect himself and answer the question again, but Biden’s second try was equally cringeworthy.

Biden stumbles
In the clip of the interview that was released prior to the full version, Holt asked the president about the numerous intelligence reports that clearly indicated that a troop withdrawal would likely end in disaster.
“Another described getting folks in the embassy ready to evacuate and encountering people who were essentially in denial of the situation. Does any of that ring true to you?” Holt asked.
“No. No. That’s not what I was told,” Biden replied. Holt immediately followed up with: “You were told that the U.S. administration officials were prepared, they knew it was time to get out?”
Biden immediately deployed the dodge tactic, and rambled through what was essentially a non-response.
“No, what I was told … no one told me that … look, there was no good time to get out. But if we had not gotten out, they acknowledged that we would have had to put a hell of a lot more troops back in. It wasn’t just 2,000, 4,000,” Biden said. “We would have had to significantly increase the number of troops and would be back in this war of attrition.”
Full denial
After graciously providing the president another opportunity to actually answer the question, Holt clarified by asking, “I just want to clarify. Are you rejecting the conclusions or the accounts that are in this Army report?”
“Yes, I am,” Biden quickly responded, and doubled down by saying, “I am rejecting them.”
Clearly, the Afghanistan debacle was not only predicted by U.S. intelligence experts, but it seems as if Biden’s White House either ignored them or purposely overlooked the reports and went through with the withdrawal anyway for unknown reasons. When the president and his team ignore valuable intelligence from its own military, something has clearly gone very wrong.
