The Daily Mail reports that Hunter Biden has been successful in his effort to prevent his estranged 4-year-old daughter, Navy, from using the "Biden" surname.
Hunter Biden, in other words, has successfully stopped his daughter from taking his own last name.
This comes after Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts, Navy's Mother, reportedly settled their child support case.

The paternity case between Hunter Biden and Roberts, a former stripper, has been going on for many years now. The child, Navy, was born in 2018, which suggests that she was conceived near the time when Hunter Biden was in a relationship with Hallie Biden, the widow of Hunter Biden's deceased brother, Beau.
Initially, Hunter Biden denied that he was the child's father. But, a subsequent court-ordered DNA test determined "with near scientific certainty" that Biden was indeed the father of Navy.
Subsequently, a child support agreement was reached, which resulted in Hunter Biden having to make child support payments of $20,000 per month to Roberts. This appeared to be the end of the matter, but it was not.
Recently, Hunter Biden asked a judge to lower the child support payments, claiming that he is unable to afford the $20,000 a month. This is what reopened the case.
Roberts responded by attempting to obtain the "Biden" surname for Navy.
Now, according to a report from the New York Post, Hunter Biden and Roberts have settled the case.
As stated at the outset, Hunter Biden was successful in stopping his daughter from taking his last name. In addition to this, Biden was successful in getting the child support payments lowered: from $20,000 per month to only $5,000 per month.
In return, the agreement states:
The child shall select the painting which shall either be sent to the child or sent to a gallery designated by Lunden Roberts," the court document reads. "The net proceeds of any sales of paintings shall be wired to an account designated by Lunden Robetts.
The agreement also states that the child support payments will continue until Navy reaches 18 years of age, marries, or passes away and that Hunter Biden and Roberts "shall discuss providing a college education fund for the child."
It is hard to see how this is not a win for Hunter Biden. There is still a possibility that some of the terms of the agreement have yet to be disclosed. But, upfront, it sure does look as though Navy and Roberts got the short end of the stick here.
