The House Oversight Committee continues to go all-in on its investigation into the Biden family's business dealings, and a new revelation must have the Biden's losing sleep at night.
According to Breitbart, Peter Schweizer, Government Accountability Institute, told the outlet that an Oversight panel has subpoenaed phone records for one of Joe Biden's phones that was paid for via one of Hunter Biden's various businesses.
The news comes after revelations that Hunter Biden was paying his then-vice president father's phone bill, from from 2009 to 2017.
Oversight lawmakers are extremely interested in the contents of the phone records, which could reveal more damaging information about the Biden family's operations.
Schweizer revealed the bombshell news during a recent interview with 77 WABC’s Cats & Cosby, expressing the possibility of troves of new information that could be revealed from the subpoena effort.
"We obtained that phone number and we’ve shared it with individuals and the Oversight Committee in Congress is going to subpoena those phone records. And what’s important here is that’s not a government phone, this is not Joe Biden’s private phone that he’s paying for himself. It’s actually [Hunter] Biden’s business that paid for it," Schweizer said.
He added: "I think it’s going to yield a lot of interesting information as to who Joe Biden was talking to on this phone that was being paid for by his son."
MSN noted:
Schweizer said also claims that there is in fact a law that dictates that it is illegal to remove a whistle-blower from their position reporting felonious activity. He believes the phone records may yield more information about who Joe Biden was in contact with throughout his time as vice president, and restart a probe into the president and his family.
That was in reference to a recent move made to pull an investigative team at the IRS off of Hunter Biden's tax evasion case.
"It’s very troubling — the pattern that we’re seeing here,” Schweizer added.
Users across social media reacted to the news of the phone record subpoena. The reaction was mixed, with many echoing that there's a good chance nothing will come out of it, at least not punitive actions.
"O I’m sure the FBI will doctor them up before they’re released. Don’t get excited," one Twitter user wrote.
Another Twitter user added: "Oh I hope they already have it otherwise Hillary is gonna give a demo demonstration."
Only time will tell if the phone records shed more light on what exactly was going on when Joe Biden was vice president. Hopefully, Republicans continue their efforts to expose them.
