House impeachment manager Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) has now been added to the list of Democrats revealing the real reason they want President Donald Trump impeached.
According to the Daily Wire, Lofgren inadvertently confessed in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper that had Democrats allowed the court cases to play out, “the election would be over” by then, making their efforts “almost moot.”
Courts take too long
There is a little thing known as due process in this country. Whether Dems like it or not, these cases must be allowed to play out in the courts to ensure everyone is given a fair shake.
Trump has had several of these cases come to a final ruling, and win or lose, the administration has always abided by the ruling. But it’s becoming painfully obvious that Democrats don’t care about the actual evidence. Impeachment is about the 2020 elections, plain and simple.
While appearing on CNN with Jake Tapper, Lofgren confirmed the nakedly partisan nature of this impeachment. Tapper asked Lofgren why Democrats didn’t follow through with their attempt to “try to force subpoenas and force witnesses” via the courts.
“We realized we had the evidence we were going to get and that it was sufficient to prove our case,” Lofgren replied. But Tapper pressed further, asking: “But didn’t you surrender to the president’s stonewalling, in that sense?”
“Well, in that — I guess, in that sense, we did, because, if we had waited for three or four years, the election would be over,” Lofgren admitted. “The issue would be almost moot.”

Can’t let him get re-elected
Democrats are realizing that they do not have a horse in this race that can beat Trump — so the only alternative they have is to impeach him and take their chances against Vice President Mike Pence.
Several months ago, long before the impeachment process formally began, Rep. Al Green (D-TX) stated: “I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach this president, he’ll get re-elected.”
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), during his opening arguments, cast doubt on the integrity of the 2020 election, all but saying the only way Trump will get re-elected is if he cheats, using that as a reason to secure his impeachment.
At best, this is fear-mongering. At worst, it is an outright attempt to rig the next election.
