Donald Trump threw Hillary Clinton the bait, and she was more than happy to snap it up.
After Trump dared Clinton to enter the presidential race, she jumped into the fray, telling Trump: “Don’t tempt me. Do your job.”
The Washington Examiner reports that Clinton also added fuel to the rumors of her potential campaign by telling a PBS reporter: “So maybe there does need to be a re-match. I mean obviously I can beat him again.”
Hillary Clinton has run for president two times — and lost. Her first run came when she was considered to be the darling of the party, but Barack Obama got in her way.
She tried again against Trump, the outsider, and failed to win the trust of Americans.
The woman who was supposed to break through the glass ceiling to become the first woman president got crushed in the Electoral College and has clung to her popular vote totals as a way of claiming victory.
The Democrat Field
Believe it or not, this Democrat field is so weak there are actually mounting calls for Clinton to run. Over the last week or so, the entire field seems to have virtually self-destructed.
Joe Biden has yet to come up with a reasonable explanation for his son’s business dealings. While he may not have legally done anything wrong, the optics of his son getting money and jobs in parts of the world for which his father was the Obama administration’s point man are very bad.
Bernie Sanders’ health troubles have all but ended his chance at winning the presidency. Who is going to elect a man president who just had a heart attack?
Even Elizabeth Warren is in trouble after it was discovered she may have lied as to why she was let go from a teaching job early in her career.
The thing for Dems, though, is that Hillary Clinton is less appealing now than she was when she was running for president the first two times. Her popularity is at an all-time low, and people have finally come to realize just how corrupt the Clintons are.
That, however, has not stopped them from at least exploring the possibility of Hillary throwing her hat in the ring. That should tell you all you really need to know about the current state of the Democratic Party.
