Hillary Clinton likens herself to Eleanor Roosevelt for sticking by Bill after affair

Hillary Clinton does not openly talk about Bill’s affairs very often — but she did give everyone an idea of why she stayed with Bill after his affair came to light.

Fox News reports that while discussing the new book she co-wrote with daughter Chelsea, Hillary Clinton stated: “Part of the reason that I admire Eleanor Roosevelt is the way she handled that, happening to her. And I say, look, when something happens in your marriage, as I know well, it can be gutsy to leave, it can be gutsy to stay. I felt like I had learned so much from her that I wanted to share that with the reader.”

The New Book

Since Hillary lost the 2016 election, her public appeal has dwindled considerably. With Bill no longer president and Hillary no longer able to sell access to the Oval Office as a form of income, the public really doesn’t care very much what she has to say.

That was made very apparent during the recent speaking tour with Bill, where they often spoke to rooms that were more than half empty.

The one area where Hillary has been able to make some money, though, is with book sales. What Happened blew up when it hit the shelves, but that was probably because many people wanted to see if Hillary would actually admit her own failures.

Now, she has decided to co-write a book with Chelsea called The Book of Gutsy Women, hence the reference to Eleanor Roosevelt.

Still Taking Shots

Hillary Clinton can sense that the public is not interested in her anymore, so she has to find new ways to stay relevant.

Remember when Hillary Clinton tweeted out that Donald Trump was a threat to our Democracy if he would not be willing to accept the results of the election? That tweet, of course, was sent out BEFORE she lost.

When asked how she is doing now, she stated she was doing fine, but “I believe [Trump] knows he’s an illegitimate president. There were a bunch of different reasons why the election turned out the way it did, and I take responsibility for those parts of it that I should — but it was like applying for a job and getting 66 million letters of recommendation and losing to a corrupt human tornado.”

Now, think about what Hillary said before the election and then consider her words now. She was actually quite prescient, because as we have seen, by not accepting the election results, the Democrats have threatened the stability of our republic.

Over the last two years, Democrats have torn this country apart with accusations of racism, immigration scandals and a bogus investigation into Trump. Can you imagine where this country would be today had the Democrats not acted in such an obstructionist manner?

Now, they want to impeach Trump for a conversation that included a legitimate request to look into possible corruption during a time when Ukraine was rife with shady dealings.
