Former Secretary of State and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton poured cold water on liberals demanding a “cease-fire now” between Israel and terrorist group Hamas.
Clinton appeared at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy’s 30th-anniversary gala with former Secretary of State James Baker III where she took a shot at radical leftists demanding that the United States effectively side with terrorists by demanding a ceasefire.
Clinton stated, "People who are calling for a cease-fire now do not understand Hamas. That is not possible."
Hamas is a terrorist organization that is dedicated to the destruction of Israel and the eradication of the Jewish people. A popular chant, that has been taken up by pro-Palestinian protestors, says "From the River to the Sea," in reference to wiping the Jews out from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean.
Peace between Israel and Hamas was never possible and the barbaric terrorist attack that left thousands of Israelis, many of whom were civilians, dead or wounded, has ended any chance of peace until Hamas is eradicated.
Hillary Clinton is viewed by many Americans as a radical or at least an individual who will facilitate radicals.
However, even Clinton isn't willing to entertain terrorists and terrorist sympathizers. Her solid rebuke of the idea of a ceasefire no doubt has generated outrage among the large contingent of Democrats who have sided with Hamas.
Clinton further explained, "It would be such a gift to Hamas because they would spend whatever time there was a cease-fire in effect rebuilding their armaments, creating stronger positions to be able to fend off an eventual assault by the Israelis."
Clinton is right on the money as Israel has nothing to gain from a ceasefire with an opponent that they can destroy now.
Hamas has been a thorn in Israel's side for years as well as the single largest obstacle to progress for the people of Gaza. Until Hamas is destroyed, the people of Gaza will continue to suffer and die and Israel can finally put an end to that oppression.
This conflict between Israel and Hamas has created a nightmarish situation for President Joe Biden, who has been forced to cater to the radical wing of the Democrat Party that is supporting terrorists.
A new poll from the Arab American Institute has fallen from 59% in 2020 to 35% before the outbreak of the war in Israel. Since then, Biden's support among Arabs has collapsed to a horrifyingly low 17%.
This should set off alarms for Democrats as Arabs have a significant impact in several key battleground states.
President Biden has lost a swathe of voters for standing by Israel and there is nothing that he can do about this situation. Taking the side of terrorists would have been a much worse choice, but now 2024 is looking more uncertain than ever.
