Hillary Clinton induces cringe with sing-along during appearance on ‘Carpool Karaoke’ show

Failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is inarguably among the most inauthentic of American politicians, and her attempts to portray herself as a normal person doing everyday things often fall flat, come across as calculated and insincere, or are just simply cringe-worthy.

There is a new addition to that last category as the former Secretary of State and the first lady has been revealed to be a featured guest on the newest season of Apple TV+’s “Carpool Karaoke” program, Breitbart reported.

In her appearance on the show, Clinton rides around in a car with others and sings aloud along with hit songs like Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” and Katy Perry’s “Roar.”

It is unknown, at least as of yet, if Clinton’s infamous cackle is also heard during the politico’s auditory assault on viewers of the program.

Hillary and Chelsea sing-along

TheWrap was the first to report on the new season of Apple TV+’s Emmy Award-winning “Carpool Karaoke” — a spin-off of a popular segment on James Corden’s “The Late Late Show” — and some of the celebrity guests who would be featured.

Among the roughly two dozen celebrities who will make appearances in the new season of the show are Hillary Clinton and her daughter Chelsea, who star in their own Apple TV+ docuseries called “Gutsy” that features the duo interviewing other strong women and feminist icons.

In their “Carpool Karaoke” appearance, Hillary and Chelsea are joined by actress Vanessa Williams and talk show host Amber Ruffin for a rendition of Gaynor’s hit disco classic “I Will Survive.”

Other episodes likely won’t be so bad

At another point in the show, the two Clinton women, joined only Ruffin this time, also sing along with Perry’s feminist anthem “Roar,” as can be seen near the conclusion of the following Apple TV+ ad.

For what it is worth, other episodes of the program don’t appear to be all bad, as the ad reveals that other featured guests include NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and singer Ciara rapping along with the late Notorious B.I.G., actress Sandra Oh singing “Hungry Like The Wolf” along with members of Duran Duran, actor Kevin Bacon and brother Michael singing the ridiculous hit “MMMBop,” and rapper Method Man alongside “SNL” comedian Chris Redd performing a Stevie Wonder tune.

According to TheWrap, the second half of the fifth season of the popular show will premiere on Friday, Dec. 9.

Fodder for the base, torture for everybody else

To be sure, the affluent white female liberals who make up the core of the base of whatever remaining support for Hillary Clinton there may be will undoubtedly love listening to her off-key rendition of the two hit songs.

For the rest of the American people, however, who’d likely prefer to never hear another sound uttered by any member of the Clinton family for the remainder of time, this particular episode of “Carpool Karaoke” will be a grueling and painful experience.
