Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was confronted by a heckler demanding she condemn President Joe Biden's "warmongering" speech where he called for a $106 billion in aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
Clinton was speaking on a panel at Columbia University’s "Making Human Rights Come Alive: The UDHR at 75," which celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
During that panel, a heckler demanded that Clinton denounce Joe Biden's speech on Thursday where he called for more funding of military efforts in Israel and Ukraine.
Biden also wants money for Taiwan which is being threatened by China. In all, the United States is on the cusp of being involved in three different conflicts all in different regions of the world.
However, Clinton, who's record indicates that she's a warmongerer herself, was loath to denounce the President much to the displeasure of the heckler.
During a discussion, the unnamed heckler stood up and shouted "Can you please make a statement about President Joe Biden’s speech? This is a clearly warmongering speech! President Joe Biden is calling for $100 billion of funding for Israel, Taiwan and Ukraine, and we’re supposed to just bundle these together and pretend like we’re going to rush to World War III, and we’re all just gonna let Hillary Rodham Clinton sit here and —."
At that point, Clinton interrupted him and replied saying, "I’m sorry. You know, this is — this is not a way to have a conversation. You want to have a conversation, you are welcome to come talk to me afterwards."
Obviously not trusting that promise, the heckler and Clinton had a back-and-forth until the heckler stated "Respectfully, I do not believe you. And the fact of the matter is that the American people’s voice is what needs to be heard, because… because our president is not speaking for the American people, and neither are you.'
Eventually growing frustrated, Clinton demanded "Well, then sit down! We heard your opinion. Thank you very much."
That individual went on to call Biden's speech "openly warmongering, suicidal and idiotic." However, he finally left the building much to the relief of Clinton who was surely feeling the heat considering her past.
Democrats like Hillary Clinton have long beat the drums of war for various reasons. Clinton herself has become extremely wealthy both because of her connections as well as her involvement in the military-industrial complex.
The Clintons are widely blamed for the perpetual war that the United States got caught up in with Iraq. Former President Bill Clinton's signing of the Iraq Liberation Act led to nearly 20 years of war and the death of thousands.
It shouldn't surprise Americans to see Hillary Clinton reluctant to condemn President Biden's foolish foreign policy.
While we must support our allies around the world, we must be cautious in order to avoid escalating more conflicts.
