'Hey you guys!' Blinken warns State staffers to avoid words like 'father'

One of Joe Biden's highest priorities while in office has been promoting abortion to one and all.

The other has been promoting transgenderism and all of its idiosyncrasies that leave people not knowing whether the person they're talking to has a self-image as male or female. Or something else.

Now the State Department is pushing that confusion, the idea of sex 'fluidity."

Following instructions from Secretary of State Antony Blinken to all State staffers not to use words like "father."

It is National Review that confirmed in February, just as the U.S. was dealing with dozens of strikes against Iranian-backed militants over their murders of three American soldiers, that Blinken "found time" for his dictate.

"Making assumptions about another person’s gender identity based on their appearance or name 'can be problematic' and send a 'harmful, exclusionary message,'" Blinken claimed in a cable telling State workers not to tolerate "son-daughter" or "mother-father" or "husband-wife."

National Review said it got the text of the letter and confirmed its messaging.

"The subject of the cable is 'Modeling DEIA: Gender Identity Best Practices,' and it aims to 'increase understanding of gender identity and provide guidance on gender identity language and best practices that support an inclusive work environment,'" the report charged.

It continues the politically correct claim that gender is a social construct.

"Commonly used pronouns could include she/her, he/him, they/them, and ze/zir," the cable said.

Also required is "gender-neutral" wording, Blinken demanded.

"Problematic terms like 'manpower,' 'you guys,' 'ladies and gentlemen' and even 'mother/father,' 'son/daughter,' and 'husband/wife' should be avoided," it said.

Better would be "y'all," or without the Southern drawl, "you all."

The report warned, "The cable is the latest move by Blinken to inject woke, left-wing identity-based activism into the State Department bureaucracy."

A commentary by Tyler O'Neil at The Daily Signal suggested, "Someone needs to tell the Biden administration that George Orwell’s novel 'Nineteen Eighty-Four' isn’t an instruction manual."

He explained, "The administration, and the Left more broadly, has adopted a form of totalitarian 'newspeak' that aims to make criticism of transgender orthodoxy unthinkable by eliminating gendered words from the English language. This echoes the totalitarian government of '1984,' which systematically seeks to destroy words in order to render criticism of the government unthinkable."

He also noted that while Blinken was upbraiding staff about the use of those words, he wasn't paying attention to his own comments, as he said, on November 11, "We stand united in honoring the brave men and women who served our country."
