Harris raises questions after claiming vaccinated Americans need to be protected from the unvaccinated

At this point in time, it’s not a secret that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have left millions of Americans beyond confused with regard to guidance on the COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to surge in some parts of the country.

According to Fox News, Harris’ latest tweet on the situation did nothing to help their case, as she once again left many scratching their heads after she insisted that it’s important to receive the vaccination in order to “protect the vaccinated.”

It doesn’t take a medical degree to ask why in the world “vaccinated” Americans would need to be “protected,” as the entire selling point of being vaccinated against virtually anything is the fact that one becomes protected from whatever they were vaccinated against.

Harris fails again

The vice president has been especially horrific and non-existent on the leadership front during the pandemic, and virtually every other pressing issue facing the Biden administration.

Over the weekend, she posted a bizarre tweet that only led to increased criticism and skepticism of the Biden administration’s ability to lead on the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination efforts.

Unsurprisingly, Harris’ tweet led to an avalanche of criticism and questions on social media and in the mainstream media, including from Fox News contributor Joe Concha, who raised the point that Harris’ tweet was not only confusing, but an extremely poor choice of words.

“‘Protecting the vaccinated’ is an odd argument since the vaccinated are already, you know, vaccinated. And the vaccine works in keeping one out of the hospital 99.99 percent of the time per the data,” Concha said.

The backlash was strong

A number of media commentators opined on Harris’ confusing tweet, including Fox News contributor Kate Pavlich, who found the vice president’s tweet to be “bizarre,” adding that it appears as if the Biden administration is “taking credit for something…the vaccine is supposed to do.”

RedState senior editor Joe Cunningham was blunt in his response to Harris’ plea.

It’s truly embarrassing that the Biden administration seems to not have even a remote clue regarding how to proceed in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 and encouraging the public to become vaccinated. As long as they continue to push out bizarre and confusing signals, they’ll continue to lose what little credibility they have left.
