VP Harris erupts in indignant anger over leaked court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade

Like many other pro-abortion advocates on the left, Vice President Kamala Harris reacted with indignant anger at a leaked draft copy of an impending Supreme Court decision to overturn the 1973 precedent legalizing abortion set by Roe v. Wade.

In a speech delivered to an abortion advocacy organization Tuesday night, Harris furiously declared “How dare they” in reference to pro-life Republicans who have sought to limit and end the “right” to slaughter unborn babies as enshrined at the federal level by Roe, the Washington Examiner reported.

Of course, the VP’s anger appeared to only be toward the alleged decision of the court and conservatives who would support the ruling, as she apparently had nothing to say of the integrity-undermining and public trust-destroying impact of an incredibly rare, if not unprecedented, leak of an unfinalized Supreme Court ruling prior to public release.

Harris is quite displeased

Vice President Harris first expressed her outrage over the apparent impending demise of Roe v. Wade in a statement released Tuesday morning, in which she said, “Roe ensures a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion. It also, at its root, protects the fundamental right to privacy.”

“What is clear is that opponents of Roe want to punish women and take away their rights to make decisions about their own bodies. Republican legislators in states across the country are weaponizing the use of the law against women,” she continued.

“The rights of all Americans are at risk,” Harris added. “If the right to privacy is weakened, every person could face a future in which the government can potentially interfere in the personal decisions you make about your life. This is the time to fight for women and for our country with everything we have.”

“How dare they?”

Harris expanded upon the basics of that statement later on Tuesday while delivering a speech to pro-abortion advocacy group EMILY’s List, which seeks to support pro-abortion female candidates for elected office, according to The Hill.

Roe v. Wade in its power has protected a woman’s right, her right to make decisions about her own body for nearly half a century,” Harris told the crowd of activists at a  D.C. hotel. “If the court overturns Roe v. Wade, it will be a direct assault on freedom, on the fundamental right to self-determination to which all Americans are entitled.”

She then went on to warn about a number of Republican-led states that would swiftly move to nearly ban or substantially restrict abortions in the absence of Roe, and that is when the vice president really amped up her indignation at those who oppose the purported right of women to murder their unborn babies.

“Those Republican leaders who are trying to weaponize the use of the law against women,” Harris said, “How dare they? How dare they tell a woman what she can do and cannot do with her own body? How dare they? How dare they try to stop her from determining her own future? How dare they try to deny women their rights and their freedoms?”

Of course, Harris’ own indignant rage can easily be flipped right back at her, as pro-life conservatives have, for nearly five decades now, constantly asked pro-abortion Democrats, “How dare they” think it is okay to dismember and kill or fatally poison an innocent life in the womb, most often solely for the convenience of the mother and not due to the incredibly rare extenuating circumstances — such as rape, incest, and life of the mother — that are typically used as excuses to keep abortion legal and widely available.
