Sean Hannity slams Shepard Smith’s ‘inconsiderate’ criticism of him

Fox News host Sean Hannity does not take any guff from anyone and he proved that again this week when he had to take on his own colleague.

It started on Thursday when, in an interview for Time Magazine, Smith took shots at Fox News primetime hosts Hannity, Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham.

Friendly Fire.

In the story, titled “Shep Smith Has The Hardest Job At Fox News,” Smith derided his colleagues and said they do not work for the same goals.

“Some of our opinion programming is there strictly to be entertaining,” Smith said.

“We work for different reporting chains, we have different rules. They don’t really have rules on the opinion side. They can say whatever they want. If it’s their opinion,” he said.

“I don’t really watch a lot of opinion programming,” he said. “I’m busy.”

But not too busy to denigrate the people he works with.

And not too busy to defend himself against allegations that he has his own liberal bias.

“I guess, I know, that there are people who come at everything in a political way. I don’t. I’ve never really liked politics,” Smith said. “I’ve always said that I thought politics in America was weird and creepy, and lacked a connection to reality.”

Shepard Smith Is Clueless.

No one could have, or should have, expected the outspoken Fox News primetime players from striking back at Smith.

Hannity, who is arguably the most popular host on Fox News currently, was the first to fire back at Smith.

“While Shep is a friend with political views I do not share,” Hannity wrote on Twitter. “and great at breaking news, he is clueless about what we do every day. Hannity breaks news daily-Warrant on a Trump assoc, the unmasking scandal, leaking intel, Fisa abuse, HRC lawbreaking, dossier and more REAL NEWS!”

He was followed by Ingraham.

“Always liked Shep, but his comments were inconsiderate & inaccurate. The hard working team at the Ingraham Angle does real reporting, develops impt sources and scores big interviews. Very proud of them,” she wrote.
