Regardless of if you like the president, there comes a time when we all need to stand up for America.
Sean Hannity believes that time has come, and now, he’s calling on Republicans to act, saying that our “national security” on the line.
Ronald Reagan once said: “A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.”
Today, our borders are under attack.
We are coming dangerously close to a situation wherein we don’t even have turnstiles at our borders to control the flow of immigration.
Somehow, some way, Democrats have lost sight of how important it is to control immigration.
Now, it is up to conservatives and Republicans in office to take this job on with everything they have.
As Sean Hannity stated, Republicans must be willing to “go to the mat” for this fight.
“This is national security we’re talking about, we’re not talking about games,” Hannity said. “We’re not playing games, we have to do it.”
The Butterfly Effect
If you’ve ever seen the movie The Butterfly Effect, you know how one simple action (or reaction) can have a lasting impact — and that effect certainly applies here.
If we don’t curb immigration, there will be more people collecting from public assistance programs like welfare and food stamps.
Unemployment will also rise, because industries like construction that have a history of hiring undocumented immigrants will continue to do so rather than paying a fair wage to Americans.
Wages will then go down because immigrants who are used to making $3 per hour in their country will be more than willing to work for minimum wage here in America, which will also serve to drive up the unemployment rate for Americans.
And that doesn’t even begin to touch on what impact illegal immigrants have on crime or public health.
These are just a few of the problems that could be brought to our country by unrestricted undocumented immigrants.
Now is not the time to play politics or draw a line in the sand — according to Hannity, now is the time to stand by the president and protect our borders.
