President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump love hosting events for children at the White House — and Halloween is no different.
The Trumps created a Halloween oasis for children to meet the president, first lady, and most importantly, grab a handful of candy on Sunday.
Take a look at some photos of the fun event:

The Big Event
Both the president and first lady stood on the South Lawn at the White House for about three hours on Sunday to meet and greet the children.
The display, designed no doubt by the first lady herself, was incredible.
In the background, the U.S. Air Force Band played Halloween-themed tunes as the children made their way to the front of the line to collect their Halloween bounty.
The children were treated to official White House Hershey bars and Twizzlers.
In addition to the president and first lady, several governmental departments are getting involved in the festivities, including NASA with a moon carpet and the Department of Education with a Lego robotics display.
A Reminder
The events at the White House were a nice reminder of what this country can be when everyone remembers we are all united Americans.
It was a nice break from recent deadly tragedies that have swept the nation.

It was also nice to see a mix of first responder costumes mixed in with the usual Halloween costumes.
All in all, it’s great to see the president and first lady interacting so positively with the nation’s children.
