U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) is accusing U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken of lying to Congress regarding his communications with Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden.
Johnson did so during an appearance, over the weekend, on the Fox News Channel's Sunday Morning Futures anchor Maria Bartiromo.
In conjunction with that appearance, Johnson released a Twitter message on the matter:
.@SecBlinken lied boldface to Congress about never emailing Hunter Biden.
Biden family co-conspirators inside intel agencies, DoJ, FBI, and the legacy media need to be exposed. They represent the greatest threat to our democracy.

This follows a recent report from Fox News exposing a meetup that took place between Hunter Biden and Blinken in July 2015.
Fox reports:
Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a meeting with Hunter Biden at the State Department in July 2015 when he was serving as the deputy secretary of state in the Obama-Biden administration and Hunter was on the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma, according to emails reviewed and verified by Fox News Digital.
Fox takes readers through the contents of the various emails.
But, significantly, Johnson claims that in an interview in which Blinken participated in December 2020 - Blinken claimed that such communication with Hunter Biden never happened.
As a side note, it is also worth noting that Blinken has also recently been accused of playing a leading role in the suppression, before the 2020 presidential election, of the New York Post's bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story. It is alleged that Blinken orchestrated the letter, signed by 51 U.S. intelligence officials, claiming that the laptop was "Russian Disinformation," a claim that U.S. intelligence knew was false.
Johnson put the matter very clearly during his Fox appearance.
"Now, because of more information that’s come out, we know that he lied bold-faced to Congress about never e-mailing Hunter Biden," Johnson said, noting that such a lie could result in a five-year prison sentence.
Johnson went on to say that his "guess" is that Blinken told a "bunch of other lies."
"You cannot trust Joe Biden. You cannot trust Hunter Biden. You can’t trust the Biden family. You can’t trust so many of the people that they have surrounded themselves with," Johnson said.
It appears now that Johnson and other members of Congress are looking to meetup with Blinken over the matter. It remains to be seen how this will play out. But, Blinken has certainly landed himself in some serious political hot water as of late.
