Alex Soros is dating Huma Abedin, Fox News reports.
For those unfamiliar with Alex Soros, he is the 38-year-old son of leftist billionaire George Soros, and he is the heir to his father's $25 billion empire.
Abedin, on the other hand, is the 47-year-old longtime aide of former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Abedin is also the former wife of Democratic politician Anthony Weiner. And, more recently, she has been working for MSNBC.
Suffice is to say that this Soros-Abedin hookup is a blockbuster political affair. They are a political power couple, if there ever was one.
It was Abedin who revealed her affair with Alex Soros on Valentine's Day. She did so with a post on Instagram.
The post includes a photograph that shows Soros and Abedin cozying up to each other at a table in a Parisian restaurant. Red roses are strewn across the table as well as small gift boxes and jewelry.
The big question, of course, is how serious these two are about their relationship. A former Clinton aide suggested to Page Six that Soros is the "perfect match" for Abedin.
"It’s a classic Clinton world couple. Alex is the perfect match for Huma. He’s insanely wealthy and powerful — everything that Huma cares about," the for aid said.
Another Democratic insider agreed, adding, "Huma always wanted to be whatever the American version of royalty is."
You do not see many stories about it in the news, but there is no doubt that there is a close connection between the Clinton family - which would include Abedin - and the Soros Family. Page Six highlights some of these connections.
"Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton and her husband, investor Marc Mezvinksy, are so close with Alex that he called the couple 'family' in one post online," the outlet reports.
It later adds, "Alex and Bill Clinton both made a pilgrimage to see Pope Francis last year, where they shared a private audience with His Holiness at the Casa Santa Marta papal residence in Rome."
Finally, Page Six highlights the fact that George Soros was one of Hillary Clinton's very top donors when she ran for the presidency in 2016.
The common denominator for both the Soroses and the Clintons is their quest for political power. While there are signs that the Clintons might be losing their grip on American politics, Soros' grip continues. Alex has promised to be even "more political" than his father.
