The House Intelligence Committee was holding hearings this week, with Fiona Hill, former deputy assistant to the president, scheduled to testify.
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who sits on the House Judiciary Committee, wanted to attend to see what she had to say, but Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) kicked him out simply because he was not a sitting member of his committee.
What Are They Afraid Of?
After Gaetz was kicked out of the meeting, he asked a great question. “What are the Democrats so afraid of?” Clearly, the animosity between our two major parties has reached remarkable levels.
It is not uncommon for members of other committees to sit in on hearings held by panels of which they are not a part. Let’s be honest here, Gaetz will eventually have access to the testimony given by the president’s former deputy assistant anyway, so it begs the question of what Schiff was trying to prove by strong-arming Gaetz out of the hearing.
This was nothing more than Schiff flexing his muscle for its own sake and trying to portray a fellow member of Congress from the opposing party as having done something wrong.
It should also be noted that the chairman of Gaetz’s committee, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), has already declared his committee’s involvement in the impeachment process, so we have to ask again why Gaetz was booted from the hearing.
When Gaetz’s removal went public, it took the media about 10 seconds to paint Gaetz as the bad guy in the whole episode.
After Gaetz tweeted about what happened, MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle was more than happy to chime in.
Judiciary Chairman @JerryNadler claimed to have begun the impeachment inquiry weeks ago. Now, his own Judiciary members aren’t even allowed to participate in it.

The media establishment is asking all the wrong questions.
Instead of razzing Gaetz, Ruhle should be wondering why a member of the House was booted from a critical hearing.
Rather than encouraging the impeachment of Trump, journalists should be wondering how and why Hunter Biden received a $1.5 billion injection for his equity fund from Chinese investors and how he managed to be appointed to a position on the board of a Ukranian natural gas company despite having no prior experience in the energy sector.
Joe Biden’s corruption, or at the very least, unethical behavior, is right there for everyone to see, but the media will not cover the actual story, instead choosing to focus on the bogus whistleblower complaint and the ensuing push for impeachment.
