Former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump has announced that Fox News has hired her as a network contributor, Mediaite reported.
During an appearance on Monday’s segment of Fox & Friends, host Ainsley Earhardt told the audience to “welcome [Trump] to the family.” Lara Trump, the wife of Trump’s son Eric, is no stranger to working with Fox News as she spent a lot of time with the network during her time as a senior campaign adviser for her father-in-law.
“I’m so excited, first of all, to be joining the Fox family,” Trump replied. “I sort of feel like I’ve been an unofficial member of the team for so long. You guys know, it was kind of a joke over the past five years, I would come there so often that the security guards were like maybe we should just give you a key.”
Trumps aren’t going anywhere
Despite the best efforts of both the Democratic Party and the establishment Republican Party, the Trump family isn’t going anywhere. The Trump’s are poised to launch a political dynasty.
Trump’s recent hiring at Fox has made some question if she has given up her Senate ambitions, but Trump clarified that the job wouldn’t hinder her, and her decision is coming soon.
Trump is specifically eyeing a seat in North Carolina set to be vacated by Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) in 2022, Newsweek reported. North Carolina could be considered a Republican stronghold, and if Trump does run, she will likely have an easy victory.
“I’m not ready to make an announcement about anything just yet, but it is something I’m still strongly considering,” she said, according to Newsmax. “I’d love to represent the people in my home state North Carolina.”
Purging the establishment
Many Republican voters will likely consider Lara Trump a massive upgrade over Burr as he was one of a handful of Republican senators who voted to convict President Trump on partisan impeachment charges.
The Trump family is on a mission to destroy the establishment Republican Party as Donald Trump works to unseat Republicans who don’t uphold his “America First” platform.
Lara Trump taking a seat in the Senate would go a long way in advancing the Trump family’s vision.
If she decides to stay out of the race, however, she will still be doing a lot to advance the “America First” agenda, as working at Fox News will provide a platform to continue to communicate with the base of voters who still believe in the Trump vision.
