Report: Fox News suspended Jeanine Pirro for two weeks over Ilhan Omar comments

While everyone knew Judge Jeanine Pirro was in trouble over her comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-NY), we have been waiting to hear just how much trouble.

CNN’s Brian Stelter reported that Fox News has suspended Pirro’s show for two weeks, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Mum is the Word

Fox has been very secretive about the entire ordeal, and still has not confirmed or denied suspending Pirro. While the network immediately condemned Pirro’s comments about Omar’s practice of wearing the hijab, saying her views did not represent those of the network, that was about all we heard from them.

But Pirro’s regular 9 a.m. show, Justice with Judge Jeanine, did not air on Saturday. Pirro has not updated her Twitter account since March 10.

When Fox representatives were asked by various media outlets to comment on her absence, the network simply maintained it had addressed the issue privately. Since then, rumors have been flying around, with some rumors of a possible firing.

Stelter, however, reports that his source says it was in fact only a two-week suspension.

Is Fox Flipping?

In the meantime, Fox News is adding to its lineup of contributors. Democratic strategist Donna Brazile is now joining the team.

Brazile, as you may recall, confirmed that during the 2016 presidential election, the DNC reached a fundraising deal with Hillary Clinton.

In essence, she admitted the entire party had been hijacked by Clinton, giving Sanders no shot at all of winning the primary. However, she also admitted to leaking primary questions to Clinton before a debate — a move that got her kicked out of her position as an analyst with CNN.

There has been a mixed reaction from fans since the news has been announced.

While some are offering to give her a chance since she did tell the truth about Hillary during the presidential campaign, other Fox viewers aren’t interested in having another Democrat on the show.

The prominent liberals on the network now are Juan Williams and Shep Smith, and both are openly disdainful of President Trump. If Brazile comes off the same way and blindly defends Democrats while constantly attacking Trump, Fox viewers are going to start to wonder if the network itself is starting to lean to the left.
