Fox News host Dana Perino dropped bombshell accusations against President Joe Biden during Monday’s showing of Fox News’s “The Five.”

President Joe Biden is seeking to nominate the first Black woman to the Supreme Court, thereby scoring brownie points with the radical left. However, Perino pointed out that Biden filibustered Janice Rogers Brown’s nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit not once but twice.

Janice Rogers Brown was successfully confirmed in 2005 despite Biden’s filibuster, but the story reveals just how politically motivated his actions are.

Racist actions

By the standards of the Democrat Party today, the President’s past actions were undoubtedly racist.

Perino explained that “I would just like to take a quick trip down memory lane — if Democrats really wanted to see a Black woman elevated to the Supreme Court, why did they block Janice Rogers Brown back during the Bush administration? I will never forget it because anonymously, they told the [media] … it was because they didn’t want the Republicans to have a shot at nominating the first Black woman to the Supreme Court.”

Then-Senator Biden actively opposed the nomination of a Black woman to a high court and he did it to ensure that the Democrat Party could continue to paint Republicans as backward racists.

Furthermore, he used the filibuster to do it, something that he himself now calls a racist “relic” of the Jim Crow era.

What’s worse is that President Biden wasn’t the only one who participated in this disgusting scheme. Former President Barack Obama and current Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer also supported the filibuster against Brown.

With all that in mind, it is clear that the narrative around the filibuster that Democrats have created is a gross twisting of the truth. Democrats were more than happy to use a supposedly racist relic to oppose the nomination of a Black woman.

Time for accountability

Democrats have gotten away with pretending to care about racial representation for too long when the reality is that racial representation is nothing but a political tool.

Joe Biden is standing in front of the nation and promising to nominate a Black woman to the Supreme Court because it’s the right thing to do. The right thing to do would be to nominate the most qualified individual.

Democrats must be held accountable for manipulating racial tensions to score political points.
