The passing of music legend Art Neville hit the Fox News family very personally.
The reason for that is Art’s daughter, Arthel, co-anchors the Fox News broadcast on America’s News HQ.
New Orleans Fixture
Art Neville was the founder of the Neville Brothers. For decades, the group has been considered one of the hallmark sounds encompassing everything that is New Orleans.
The band’s mix of rock, soul, and jazz is a melting pot of every style of music you will hear in the famed city. Neville both sang and played keyboards for the group.
For years, the Neville Brothers closed out the New Orleans Jazz Festival.
The biggest commercial success of the group was its 1989 album titled Yellow Moon. It sold more than 500,000 copies. At its height, it reached #66 on the Billboard charts.
However, the real success of the band and what the group was really known for was its live performances. At any given show, it was hard to find a single soul that was not out of his or her seat, dancing and singing along with the band.
Moving Tribute
Fox News paid tribute to Art and the band during his daughter’s segment after Neville passed.
The network showed a montage of performances out of respect for Fox News family member and daughter of the legendary musician, Arthel.
Arthel also posted a tribute to her father on Twitter.
My heart is heavy, but my soul and spirit are full with a lifetime of unforgettable memories of my father. I thank God for my Daddy. I thank each and every one of you for your prayers and well wishes.
