The rouse appears to be coming to an end.
Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who made rape allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, has stated she will not pursue her claim any further.
Will Not Pursue
Now that Brett Kavanaugh has been confirmed, everyone wants to know what Dr. Ford’s next step will be.
But according to her attorneys, there will be no next step.
Some had predicted Ford would make her case again if Dems get a majority in November, but Debra Katz, Ford’s attorney, says that is not in the cards.
Katz stated Ford only wanted to bring her allegations to light to the Judiciary Committee as they considered Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, Ford says she has no regrets.
Another of Ford’s lawyers, Lisa Banks, said of Ford: “I think she feels like she did the right thing.”
Oddly enough, after having gone through everything she did, Ford does not appear to be willing to file criminal charges against Kavanaugh.
Maryland is one of the few states with no statute of limitations on sexual assault charges.
It is something that has had many asking questions from day one about the legitimacy of Ford’s allegations.
The fact she will not pursue formal charges only weakens her case against Kavanaugh.
To this point, there has not been one shred of evidence to back up Ford’s claims.
In addition to the lack of evidence, every witness named by Ford has been unable to corroborate her allegations.
With that, we can’t blame her for not wanting to stay in the spotlight.
