Sen. John Fetterman called for the ousting of Sen. Tom Menendez (D-NJ) during an interview on "The View."
The remarks came shortly after the expulsion of New York Republican Rep. George Santos on Friday.

“Senator Menendez needs to go, and if you are going to expel Santos, how can you allow somebody like Menendez to remain in the Senate?” Fetterman asked.
“He has the right for his day in court and all that but he doesn’t have the right to have those kinds of votes and things that — that’s not a right. And I think we need to make that kind of decision to send him out," it added.

"Santos was expelled by Congress in a 311 to 114 vote on the House floor Friday morning. The embattled lawmaker has been indicted on 23 counts related to wire fraud, identity theft, falsification of records, credit card fraud, and other charges.," Fox News reported.
"He's been accused of using campaign funds on a number of luxury goods and treatments such as botox. He has pleaded not guilty," it continued.

"It was predictable that the hosts would ask Fetterman about Santos, but he was more interested in seeing someone else expelled: fellow Senate Democrat Bob Menendez of New Jersey," Mediaite reported.
"Fetterman sat for three segments on Friday’s show, and he discussed a variety of topics with the hosts, including his health improving since his near-fatal stroke and bout of depression," it noted.
Menendez has argued that he is not guilty to all charges. He has also launched his reelection campaign for 2024.
However, he'll face contenders in the Democratic primary, including the first lady of New Jersey who seeks to unseat him in her bid for the Senate.
The latest comments from Fetterman were surprising, finally commenting in a way that makes sense to conservatives in his call for the Democratic senator to step down from his role or be removed over his charges.
