Ghislaine Maxwell could spill the beans on Jeffrey Epstein’s associates.
A close associate of the convicted pedophile, Maxwell has been arrested and is accused of trafficking minors for Epstein and his pals. Now, according to reporting from Fox News’ Jason Chaffetz, she will likely throw everyone else involved under the bus to save herself.
“Jeffrey Epstein’s closest confidant, Ghislaine Maxwell, is now facing decades behind bars if not life, but Epstein’s former mentor and Ponzi scheme mastermind Steven Hoffenberg believes Maxwell will be naming names in exchange for a more favorable sentence,” Chaffetz reported while filling in for Hannity host Sean Hannity on Friday, according to a transcript provided by Fox.
Indeed, it seems that in the coming weeks, Maxwell could implicate some of the world’s most well-known figures in sex crimes against children.
Justice on the way?
As the Financial Times reported, Jeffrey Epstein died while awaiting trial before he could name any of his associates. Now, Maxwell is the last person left who truly knows the extent of what happened on Epstein’s watch.
“I’m sure she has access to the videos,” TV host Christopher Mason, a friend of Maxwell, told the New York Post. “A lot of powerful people will be more than a little worried.”
The videos in question include surveillance tapes from Epstein’s estates, which would provide proof of who was participating in Epstein’s illicit activities.
Maxwell may also be able to shed light on Epstein’s so-called “Black Book,” which reportedly contained the names of countless Epstein allies. That is, if she makes it to the witness stand.
“She belongs in jail”
Jeffrey Epstein’s sudden death in protective custody in August 2019 permanently damaged many Americans’ faith in the criminal justice system — and now, many are convinced there is a ring of elite pedophiles who are above the law.
But a criminal justice system that cannot prosecute the ultra-wealthy is no longer a just system. Maxwell holds information that will bring down those who think themselves untouchable — and she is alleged to have been more than just a little involved herself.
“She ruined so many lives. She belongs in jail,” one of Epstein’s alleged victims, Virginia Guiffre, said in an interview with 60 Minutes, according to the Daily Mail. “You want to hurt kids? That’s where you go.”
Indeed, if proven guilty, Maxwell must be made an example for others who think their wealth will cover their criminal proclivities. That’s how things are supposed work in America.
