Dolly Parton refuses to go after Trump in bombshell interview

The liberal mainstream media will not be satisfied until every pop culture personality in show business takes a stand against President Donald Trump.

Last week, ABC shamelessly attempted to get country music superstar Dolly Parton to take sides against the president, but it did not work.

Staying In Business.

ABC reporter David Wright sat with Parton for an interview on “Nightline” and tried desperately to get the country music legend to weigh in on politics.

“I’m not being political,” she said to start the interview. “I don’t do politics. I’m not getting into any of that. I have a lot of fans out there and I don’t want to offend anybody. Besides, I just don’t get into that. If you are deciding you may want to ask me something more serious, don’t, because I’m not going to answer it.”

But that did not deter Wright.

“Fair warning,” Wright said. “I might still ask.”

“You can still ask, but I might still tell you where to put it,” Parton fired back.

Pressuring Parton.

Parton was on hand to discuss the reboot of her classic movie “9 to 5” in which she, and her co stars, play disgruntled employees of a sexist, abusive and misogynist boss.

“I’ve been talking to Lily (Tomlin) and Jane (Fonda) … Actually all these years, we’ve talked about doing a sequel to ‘9 to 5’ and it never made any real sense until just recently,” Parton said. “We’re trying to get the script and all that. Everybody is very interested and we’ve all agreed that we’d love to do it if it’s right.”

But Wright did not care about the movie. He wanted Parton to attack the president.

“We have a President of the United States that said those things on that bus,” Wright said.

“I’m not addressing that,” Parton fired back. “I’m do not get into that. Of course I have my opinions about everybody and everything. But I learned a long time ago to keep your damn mouth shut if you want to stay in show business. I’m not in politics. I’m an entertainer.”

“And yet, you’re also a role model,” Wright said.

“Yes I am,” Parton responded. “That’s why I don’t talk about people.”

The obsession the mainstream media has with destroying President Trump invades every aspect of everything they do.

Wright could not talk with an entertainment legend sans mentioning, and deriding, the president.

President Trump Derangement Syndrome is rampant.
