Vice President Kamala Harris is deeply unpopular with the American people, and her job approval and favorability have only plummeted further since taking office alongside the nearly equally unpopular President Joe Biden.
That unpopularity apparently extends beyond just Republicans and independents, too, as the Democratic National Committee has reportedly slashed its asking price by two-thirds for Democratic donors to obtain a picture with VP Harris, Breitbart reported.
The news came just about a week after it was revealed that the DNC was forced to postpone due to lack of ticket sales a fundraiser event featuring Harris that had initially been scheduled for late May but will now be held on some unspecified date in the fall.
Fundraiser postponed, photo-op prices slashed by two-thirds
On June 14, StatusCoup journalist Jordan Chariton shared a snippet of a report from Puck News journalist Tara Palmeri about the DNC’s postponement of the Women’s Leadership Forum that was set to take place on May 25-26 and feature Vice President Harris as the host and top speaker.
Invites had reportedly been sent out on May 5 but, following a lack of ticket sales for the event, it was postponed at the last minute — even as a DNC spokesperson insisted that Harris was a “huge draw” and helped raise over $1 million for the DNC in April alone.
As for that tickets for that event, Palmeri noted that general admission cost $250 and the “much-coveted photo-line slots” ranged from $15,000 to $50,000. It was those high-priced tickets that “weren’t moving quickly enough” and prompted the rescheduling, according to the reporter.
So the @dnc had to move a May fundraiser with VP Kamala Harris to the fall because “they couldn’t sell enough tickets.”

Now Palmeri is out with another report for Puck News and had more news to break with regard to an apparent reduction in price for a slot in the photo-line with VP Harris during that fundraiser that has been rescheduled for some point in the autumn months.
“DNC is slashing prices for a photo w/ Kamala Harris. Tickets for a photo with the VP at the Women’s Leadership Forum started at $15,000, but it failed to sell enough tickets & is being postponed. VP’s June fundraiser in Cali is charging $5,000 for a photo,” the journalist tweeted.
Terrible polling for the VP
To say that Vice President Harris is not particularly well-liked or viewed favorably by the American people would be an understatement, as evidenced by the Los Angeles Times‘ running compilation of favorability polls for the VP that currently show her -11 points underwater with an average favorability of 41 percent and unfavorability of 52 percent.
That places Harris not only slightly below President Biden by about two points but also well below her four most recent vice-presidential predecessors, from Al Gore through Dick Cheney and Biden to Mike Pence.
That 41 percent average favorability actually looks pretty good in comparison to an April Trafalgar Group poll which found that Harris’ job approval rating was a dismal 28.5 percent and, perhaps shedding light on the fundraiser postponement and slashed photo-op prices, showed that Harris’ approval among Democratic voters was only about 51.5 percent.
