A gruesome discovery at a local park in New York has police baffled.
Dismembered parts of a Hispanic woman were found Friday at Clinton Playground in Crotona Park, which is located in the Bronx.
The body was discovered by a park patrol officer.
After spotting the bag, the officer opened it and saw the human hair.
At that point, police were called to investigate.
When the bags were opened, they discovered the body parts.
Included in the bags was the woman’s head, which was used to create a sketch of the victim.
The park where the remains were found is named in honor of DeWitt Clinton.
Clinton, who is no relation to Bill Clinton, once served as the mayor of New York City.
He was also the sixth governor of the state.
Clinton was actually the governor during the construction of the Erie Canal.
While an autopsy still has to be performed for the cause of death, this case is eerily similar to a body that was discovered back in April.
Brady Odom’s remains were disposed of in a very similar manner.
However, her remains were found in Canarsie Park.
There are enough similarities, though, that local police have to be concerned they may have a serial killer on their hands.
