Attorney General Bill Barr is going after Democrats and uncovering more and more evidence that exposes the corruption in Washington, and the work he is doing is panicking Democrats so much that they’re trying to take him down.
The Democrats are throwing everything at Barr’s investigation, but it might be too late for them.
Feinstein targeting Barr
Democrats have been openly saying that President Donald Trump is guilty in spite of their inability to produce the evidence to prove it. They also have ironically been very adamant about their “search for the truth.”
But now with Barr investigating the undeniably shady nature of the Russia collusion investigation, Democrats suddenly no longer believe in truth-seeking.
In an attempt to silence Barr, Senate Democrats led by Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) on the Senate Judiciary Committee sent a letter to Barr demanding he recuse himself from matters relating to Ukraine.
The letter asserted, “[Barr’s] personal connection to these matters creates the appearance of a conflict of interest and gives rise to questions about whether the Department is being used to advance the President’s personal interests.”
Feinstein tweeted that the reason for the recusal demand is “because of concerns about his role in President Trump’s efforts to damage a political opponent and undermine the Russia investigation.”
Barr hit back at the accusation in an appearance on Fox News, saying, “That’s completely wrong and there is no basis for it, and I act on behalf of the United States.”
It’s worth noting that the Democrats are attempting to conflate the Ukraine “scandal” with the Russian collusion hoax, and they simply are not the same issue. The DOJ’s investigation, led by U.S. Attorney John Durham, is not related to the Ukraine issue, and should be treated separately.
Democrats are afraid
If the impeachment inquiry’s secrecy hasn’t already proven this, the Democrats are broadcasting a lie to the American public. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) has been insisting the secrecy is necessary and is the reason why he is keeping Trump in the dark, but the entire thing smacks of underhanded partisan politics.
The Democrats will do anything to keep the public in the dark about what is really going on because if the American people were actually privy to what was happening behind those closed doors, they would run the risk of being shut down.
We need answers about what happened in 2016, and we need answers about the Democrats’ conduct in the impeachment inquiry. This attempt to stop Barr only highlights how urgent this situation is.
