The far-left wing of the Democrat party is starting to rack up some significant casualties.
The latest to fall is Allison Jaslow, the executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, who was essentially forced to resign last week.
Not Diverse Enough
There is a message being sent in the Democrat party that is both racist and bigoted, but the mainstream media is ignoring it.
That message is that if you are white, you are simply not wanted in a leadership role. The party is making a strong move to “diversify”, attempting to put only people of color in authoritative positions.
In all, there were six top staffers that resigned from the DCCC this week. The resignations come amid concerns from Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-IL) that leadership on the committee does not reflect the diversity of party members.
The alarming thing here is that it is not just white people, in general, being pushed out, but also women. The message being sent is that you must be a person of color, period, or you will not even be considered.
Leadership Call for Action
Bustos is not even trying to hide this alarming discrimination in any way, shape, or form. She stated:
Today has been a sobering day filled with tough conversations that too often we avoid, but I can say confidently that we are taking the first steps toward putting the DCCC back on path to protect and expand our majority, with a staff that truly reflects the diversity of our Democratic caucus and our party.
Her message was echoed by several Representatives in the party. Two Texas Hispanic members of Congress, Reps. Filemon Vela and Vicente Gonzalez, stated:
The single most immediate action that Cheri Bustos can take to restore confidence in the organization and to promote diversity is to appoint a qualified person of color, of which there are many, as executive director at once. We find the silence of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on this issue to be deafening.
Jaslow is a woman and a combat veteran. There was nothing even hinting that she was not doing a good job or that she had done something wrong, simply that she was not a woman of color.
While touting the accomplishments of the committee, Bustos stated she was now “owning her mistakes, and learning from them.”
Was her mistake to hire a white woman? Has she learned to not hire white people? The only thing that should matter in this day and age is if someone is qualified for the job, period.
You simply cannot bring a country together in this fashion, as they are eventually going to drive loyal Democrats away and create an even larger racial divide with these tactics.
