Conservative commentator Dan Bongino provides update on cancer treatment

Conservative commentator and Trump supporter Dan Bongino indicated on Friday that his battle against cancer is going well and thanked his many supporters.

“It’s been tough, I’m tired. The chemo’s rough. You got to get through it with a bit of a sense of humor, though. I will be A-OK, though, I promise you. My prognosis is really good,” Bongino said during an interview with Fox News’ Fox & Friends.

Bongino is due for his last scheduled chemotherapy treatment next Tuesday.

To hear such an optimistic outlook at the end of his treatment after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma is incredible news.

Bongino recovering

Bongino thanked the nurses and doctors who cared for him, especially considering the coronavirus’s impact on hospitals.

He specifically expressed gratitude for the professionals working at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. “Brilliant people. We have the best medical system in the world. And all the doctors out there caring for people during this season, thank you. And thanks to everyone who’s been caring for me, too. It’s been amazing,” he said.

By next Tuesday, fans of Bongino will know for sure if his condition is in remission. Until then, there’s every reason to be optimistic.

Bongino isn’t the only conservative figure to have been afflicted by cancer. Legendary conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer earlier this year.

Bongino alluded to Limbaugh’s diagnosis during his interview on Fox and Friends, saying, “God bless him and his struggle, too, and everyone out there struggling with this awful disease.”

All hands on deck

It is good to hear that Bongino is recovering, especially because conservatives will need all hands on deck with the confirmation of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Figures like Limbaugh and Bongino are vital to the ongoing mission of counteracting the mainstream media and their agenda. With the triumph of the Democratic Party in retaking the presidency, that mission only becomes more important.

Without President Donald Trump in office, the voices of figures like Bongino and Limbaugh are desperately needed. Hopefully, we will get a few more positive developments in these last days of 2020.
