A recently-unearthed photograph of President Joe Biden would appear to contradict Biden's claim that he has had no involvement in his son's international business dealings.
U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), the chair of the House Republican conference, told Fox News Digital that the photograph is particularly "damning."
The photograph is from December 2015, which is back when Biden was the vice president under President Barack Obama.
The photograph, which was captured by White House photographer David Lienemann, was taken aboard Air Force Two. This was during Biden's infamous, Dec. 6, 2015, trip to Kiev, Ukraine.
This is the same trip in which Biden, as the U.S. vice president, threatened to withhold $1 billion in funding if Ukrainian leaders did not fire Viktor Shokin, the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma Holdings - the Ukrainian energy company at which Hunter Biden, despite no real qualifications, was working at the time. Shokin, of course, was fired, and Joe Biden has even bragged about this sequence of events - on camera.
What the photograph shows is Biden being briefed, aboard Air Force Two, by Amos Hochstein. And, herein, lies the problem for Biden.
Hochstein is currently Biden's special presidential coordinator. Earlier on in the Biden administration, Hochstein was Biden's special coordinator for global infrastructure and energy security. During the Obama administration, Hochstein was the special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs.
But, what the photograph suggests is that Hochstein, in addition to this role, had been in communication with Hunter Biden and with Burisma.
This, of course, is problematic for Joe Biden, who has claimed no knowledge and no involvement in his son's international business dealings.
According to Stefanik, the photograph is "damning."
Stefanik said:
This damning picture of then Vice President Joe Biden on Air Force Two en route to Ukraine talking with Amos Hochstein is just further evidence that Biden and senior officials in the Biden Administration not only knew of Hunter Biden's corrupt foreign business dealings, but also that Joe Biden was intimately involved while Vice President.
Stefanik, in her statement, goes on to highlight the circumstances of the photograph, as outlined above.
Stefanik concludes her statement:
All evidence points directly to Joe Biden being deeply compromised. House Republicans will leave no stone unturned in our investigations into Biden’s involvement in his family's influence peddling scheme.
Stefanik is right. At this point, it really does appear that there is overwhelming evidence that Biden is "deeply compromised."
