Country music superstar Jason Aldean picked up a large swath of new fans last week after controversy erupted regarding his wife and children sporting anti-Biden shirts in photos that quickly went viral, drawing both equal amounts of praise and backlash.
According to Fox News, in the wake of the controversial pictures, Aldean doubled down, telling his 3.4 million Instagram followers in a post that he’ll “never apologize” for his beliefs or the beliefs of his family, adding additional comments that clearly revealed he’s not a fan of the current president.
“This is the greatest country in the world and I want to keep it that way,” Aldean wrote in another social media post.
Brittany Aldean, the country star’s wife, posed for pictures with their two young children, who sported shirts with the slogan “Hidin’ from Biden.” Brittany wore a shirt in the photo that read “Anti Biden Social Club.”
In an earlier report, Fox News noted that Brittany Aldean has a history of being politically outspoken, making clear in previous social media posts that she’s not a fan of the current administration.
Brittany Aldean not only dislikes President Joe Biden, but she’s also a supporter of former President Donald Trump.
Shortly after the 2020 election, Brittany Aldean took some heat on social media after posting “… STILL MY PRESIDENT,” which was around the time that Trump and his surrogates were trying to make the case that the 2020 election had been rigged in Biden’s favor.
“I personally don’t give a damn if people don’t agree with me. I think it’s important now more than ever to stand for what you believe, even if it ‘goes against the grain.’ Do your research, and form your own opinion – speak out if you wish. But most importantly, don’t bully people who feel differently than you,” Brittany Aldean wrote at the time.
While Jason Aldean wasn’t donning any politically themed clothing in the aforementioned photos with his family, he’s made it clear in recent posts that he’s not supportive of the current administration, even firing back at some commenters who challenged his beliefs.
“Watch ur mouth lady! We will teach our kids what we think is right and what we think is best for their future,” Jason Aldean said to one woman who accused his wife of using their kids as “political props.”
He added: “If you think what is happening right now is ‘great’ for the future of our kids and grandkids, u are delusional!”
Doubling down and making his political leanings crystal clear, Jason Aldean added, “Definitely better than what we got now! Please tell me one thing that the current administration has done that is positive? Just 1!!!”
