Kellyanne Conway blasts Hollywood actresses caught in college admissions scandal

After the news broke about the massive scandal involving high-profile stars and other wealthy parents who cheated to get their children into elite schools, Kellyanne Conway, one of Trump’s key advisors, absolutely shredded the stars involved.

Actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are among dozens of parents facing fraud charges for participating in the college admissions scheme. Specifically singling them out, Conway tweeted scornfully, “They worried their daughters are as stupid as their mothers.”

Elite Privilege

We have all seen the privilege Hollywood stars think they are entitled to these days.

Ever since Trump won the Republican nomination, celebrities have been trying to tell us how to run our own lives. As it turns out, they do the same thing to their children.

The FBI uncovered an intricate cheating scandal orchestrated by William Rick Singer, who ran a college admissions prep program.

Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin have become the faces of the scandal, but a total of 50 people have been charged in the case.

In a follow-up tweet, Conway called them out too, with an all-caps blast: “YOU FAILED THESE KIDS.”

According to federal prosecutors, parents made massive “donations” to a purported nonprofit foundation in exchange for help on cheating college entrance exams. Others paid bribes to sports coaches to get their kids recommended for admission into some of the most highly selective colleges in the country, including Stanford, Yale, Georgetown, and USC.

50 People Charged

Over the last seven years or so, Singer was allegedly paid about $25 million from parents trying to buy their children into programs.

The money was used to bribe school officials to change the status of students or to arrange for special “help” during test taking that resulted in bogus test scores.

In most cases, it is believed the children were unaware, not realizing their parents had bought their admission into schools like USC, UCLA, Yale, and Stanford.

Loughlin, who is known for her role on Full House, was arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday after returning to the country. Her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, was arrested Tuesday morning, as was Huffman.
