Former FBI director James Comey, along with a host of high-profile Democrats, is surprisingly saying something conservatives can get on board with.
After a racist photo of Democrat Virginia Governor Ralph Northam surfaced, the former FBI Director demanded Northam step down, tweeting, “Governor Northam should resign. Our Commonwealth is better than this and deserves better than this.”

He Won’t Survive This
The scandal surrounding Northam has been going on for days now.
First, he outraged conservatives by making comments about late-term abortion that appear to support infanticide. While discussing a proposed bill that would allow abortion at any point in the pregnancy, Northam was asked whether abortion would be allowed if a woman was already in labor. Here’s what he said:
If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.
But what did it for Democrats was when conservative website Big League Politics published a page from his 1984 medical school yearbook which included a shocking photo of two people, one in blackface and one dressed in a KKK costume.
Not Taking Responsibility
Just last week, the Secretary of State for Florida had some pictures surface with him attending a Halloween party dressed in blackface as a Hurricane Katrina survivor.
He immediately resigned and did not even try to make excuses for his behavior.
Northam, however, is taking a bit of a different approach.
At first, Northam apologized and admitted he had made a bad decision, although he didn’t specify which of the two people was himself. And he didn’t resign.

By the next day, he had changed his tune and denied that he was either of the people in the photo. He did, however, admit to wearing blackface as part of a Michael Jackson costume at a different party that same year.
Oh, and he still didn’t resign.
For once, we find ourselves in agreement with Comey. Northam has got to go.
