Trump says Michael Cohen should go to prison

Don’t expect Trump to stand up for his former attorney, Michael Cohen.

After Cohen asked the judge in his case for no jail time, the president went off, saying on Twitter that Cohen needs to go to jail.

“Michael Cohen asks judge for no Prison Time.” You mean he can do all of the TERRIBLE, unrelated to Trump, things having to do with fraud, big loans, Taxis, etc., and not serve a long prison term? He makes up stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself, and get…..his wife and father-in-law (who has the money?) off Scott Free. He lied for this outcome and should, in my opinion, serve a full and complete sentence,” Trump tweeted on Monday.

Turncoat

Cohen once claimed he would never turn on Trump.

That all changed once he got caught up in special counsel Robert Mueller’s net.

And once the investigation was turned over to local authorities and Cohen was found to have some rather interesting ways of conducting his business, he was done.

In order to save his skin, Cohen gave up and was willing to tell investigators just about anything they want to hear.

With Cohen’s sentencing scheduled for December 12, it will be very interesting to see how this plays out over the next week or so.

Praising Loyalty

While hammering Cohen, Trump has been quick to point out others getting pressured by Mueller that refuse to turn and tell lies against him.

One of the more notable names is Roger Stone, who has stated numerous times through the media he will not lie to save his own skin.

Trump even sent out a tweet praising Stone for having the “guts” to stand up to investigators. ““I will never testify against Trump.” This statement was recently made by Roger Stone, essentially stating that he will not be forced by a rogue and out of control prosecutor to make up lies and stories about “President Trump.” Nice to know that some people still have “guts!”,” Trump tweeted on Monday.

Another False Narrative

Trump’s critics are now claiming that the president is trying to intimidate possible witnesses against him.

One of the more vocal critics saying this is George Conway, none other than the husband of Trump’s trusted counselor Kellyanne Conway.

This is absolutely ridiculous, not to mention disrespectful to Conway’s wife and her career.
