Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, like so many other politicians and pundits on the left, has ramped up her rhetoric about abortion and women’s rights to an extreme level after the Supreme Court overturned the Roe v. Wade precedent with the Dobbs decision in June and returned the right to regulate abortion to the individual states.
In Clinton’s view, at least in terms of women’s rights, America is now no better than places like Afghanistan or Iran because of that Supreme Court ruling, Breitbart reported.
Pro-life states the same as Taliban or Ayatollah regimes
On Thursday, Clinton joined CNN International’s Christiane Amanpour to discuss a women’s rights summit she was hosting at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, during which Amanpour asked about the “unfinished business” of fighting to defend certain rights for women.
Clinton said America had “come a long way” over the past few decades but “we are also in a period of time where there is a lot of pushback and much of the progress that has been, I think, taken for granted by too many people is under attack.”
“Literally under attack in places like Iran or Afghanistan or Ukraine, where rape is a tactic of war, or under attacks by political and cultural forces in a country like our own when it comes to women’s health care and bodily autonomy,” she continued, essentially likening states that have placed restrictions on abortion to the oppressive totalitarian Islamist regimes of the Taliban in Afghanistan or the Ayatollahs in Iran.

Demanding the “right” to kill unborn babies
Amanpour asked Clinton specifically about Arkansas, which imposed restrictions on abortions following the Dobbs decision, and she replied, “But we have work to do to try to defend our rights, to stand up for them.”
“And what we’ve seen particularly since the Dobbs decision across our country is that when voters, both men and women, but led by women have a chance to vote on these draconian abortion restrictions,” she continued in reference to recent state-level elections and referendums. “They do not accept them. They overturned them. They certainly want to limit the reach of the government into the most intimate, private parts of our life.”
“So, we’ll see what happens in states like Arkansas and so many others when we face real-world problems,” Clinton said as she shared dubious claims of women being turned away from treatment for miscarriages. “I just believe that the fervor of the interests that are saying there should be absolutely no choice for women in half the states or more of our country will run right up against reality.”
Clinton says America “rightly” compared to Afghanistan and Sudan
According to Fox News, failed 2016 Democratic nominee Clinton made similar remarks Friday during her women’s rights summit and again compared pro-life American states to the brutally oppressive Islamist regimes that control Afghanistan and, this time, Sudan.
“It’s so shocking to think that in any way we’re related to poor Afghanistan and Sudan,” Clinton told summit attendees. “But as an advanced economy as we allegedly are, on this measure, we, unfortunately, are rightly put with them.”
This is, of course, patently absurd hyperbole that has no basis in reality, and Clinton should be ashamed of herself for drawing such ridiculous comparisons, but given that she faces no pushback from the media and is, in fact, rewarded for such rhetoric, she will continue to ramp it up to the extreme in support of the so-called “right” to murder unborn babies.
