Conservatives’ worst nightmare may have just come true.
According to Fox News, Hillary Clinton announced Thursday that she’d be “ready” to take on a role in Joe Biden’s administration if the Democrat presidential hopeful wins this November (and if she’s even asked).
Biden, for his part, has long tried to rely on his relationship with Barack Obama to propel him to victory this November — and now, it looks like he may be trying to mirror the 44th president in more ways than one.
As Fox reported, Hillary Clinton served as secretary of State under then-President Barack Obama — and she told viewers of The 19th Represents Summit on Thursday that she’d be willing to jump back in for Biden.
“I’m ready to help in any way I can, because I think this will be a moment where every American — I don’t care what party you are, I don’t care what age, race, gender, I don’t care — every American should want to fix our country,” Clinton said, according to Fox.
She went on: “So if you’re asked to serve, you should certainly consider that.”
As Fox noted, Clinton will speak again at the Democratic National Convention next week. (No word yet on whether she’ll be vying for a job there, too.)
Imagine the damage…
One can only imagine the kind of damage Clinton could do if she ended up in the White House again. In fact, that’s exactly what a majority of Americans were trying to avoid when they voted for Donald Trump in November 2016.
Does Biden really want to bring up those bad memories by appointing Clinton to a role in his hypothetical administration?
Only time will tell what he decides. In the meantime, Clinton is sure to continue sucking up to the man she hopes will give her a job.
Most recently, as Fox reported, Clinton expressed her outward support for Biden’s choice of running mate: California Sen. Kamala Harris (D).
I’m thrilled to welcome @KamalaHarris to a historic Democratic ticket. She’s already proven herself to be an incredible public servant and leader. And I know she’ll be a strong partner to @JoeBiden. Please join me in having her back and getting her elected. pic.twitter.com/cmtOO8Gqqv
