Hillary Clinton says Joe Biden should refuse to concede to Trump ‘under any circumstances’: Report

Hillary Clinton said in a recent interview that even if President Donald Trump wins on Nov. 3, Joe Biden shouldn’t call it quits.

Speaking in an interview that was released in part on Tuesday, Clinton said the current Democratic presidential hopeful should refuse to concede the election to President Trump “under any circumstances,” NBC News reported.

Hypocrisy on display

According to a Wednesday report from The Blaze, the stunning yet telling remarks from Clinton come after months of Democrats declaring — without evidence — that Trump will refuse to exit the White House if he loses to Biden this fall.

They also come nearly four years after Clinton herself had accused Trump during a 2016 debate of being a “threat to our democracy” for refusing to agree ahead of time that he would concede the race if he lost to her, The Blaze noted. “The peaceful transfer of power is one of the things that makes America, America,” Clinton said at the time.

Now, it seems Clinton has flipped her script.

“Don’t give an inch”

According to NBC, Clinton’s recent comments came in an interview hosted by a former top aide to the first-lady-turned-secretary-of-State on Showtime’s The Circus. “Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances, because I think this is going to drag out, and eventually I do believe he will win if we don’t give an inch, and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is,” Clinton said.

The failed 2016 presidential hopeful also argued that Biden and Democrats need to round up an army of attorneys to challenge the election results, which she insisted that Trump and Republicans are already planning to do, if they haven’t done so already.

“We’ve got to have a massive legal operation, I know the Biden campaign is working on that,” Clinton insisted, according to NBC. “We have to have poll workers, and I urge people, who are able, to be a poll worker. We have to have our own teams of people to counter the force of intimidation that the Republicans and Trump are going to put outside polling places.”

Ready-made excuses

In a statement reacting to her remarks, Trump campaign attorney Matthew Morgan alleged that Clinton is “unashamedly trying to lay the groundwork for Joe Biden to deny the election results when President Trump wins,” Politico reported.

“[Democrats] believe they can sue their way to victory, and there’s no telling what other shenanigans Democrats will pull once polling locations are open,” he added, according to Politico. But in the meantime, Republicans will be doing everything they can “to make sure the polls are being run correctly, securely, and transparently,” Morgan said. It’s what Americans deserve.
