President Joe Biden and other Democratic leaders across the nation have expressed a critical view of unvaccinated Americans amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
This week, the mayor of Chicago, Illinois, launched her latest verbal attack on citizens during a message meant to commemorate the celebration of Kwanzaa.
“Now eligible for the Pfizer vaccine”
According to Breitbart, Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot released a video alongside her partner as they took turns reading from a prepared script.
Although the message began as a simple acknowledgment of the holiday, the mayor soon pivoted to remarks about COVID-19 and the perceived importance of widespread vaccination.
“And that includes 5- to 11-year-olds who are now eligible for the Pfizer vaccine,” she said.
The seven principles of Kwanzaa are as important as ever and should be a guide for all of us.

Lightfoot’s partner Amy chimed in to assert that only fully vaccinated Chicagoans should gather during the holiday season “without restrictions” and specifically recommended that unvaccinated individuals eschew “any large gatherings” at all.
“Your time is up”
While her Kwanzaa-themed admonition was noteworthy in itself, she took a decidedly less empathetic tone in a series of tweets posted to her official account last week.
In one such post, Lightfoot wrote that a citywide order would remain active until local leaders determine that “the threat of COVID-19 to public health has diminished significantly,” putting forward a vague standard for when the new policy might be rolled back.
“To put it simply, if you have been living vaccine-free, your time is up,” her social media rant continued. “If you wish to live life as w/ the ease to do the things you love, you must be vax’d.”
Seemingly acknowledging that such measures are intended primarily to relegate unvaccinated Americans to second-tier status, the mayor wrote that “it is inconvenient by design.”
Despite evidence that the omicron variant causes a less severe form of the virus than previous strains, Biden used a recent conference call with the nation’s governors to once again attempt to scare unvaccinated Americans into receiving the jab, asserting: “If you’re unvaccinated, you’re at a high risk of getting severely ill from COVID-19, being hospitalized, and, in rare cases, even dying.”
