The conflict in Israel may feel far away for many Americans, but Hamas has supporters already living within the nation's borders.
Residents of Dearborn, Michigan, a hotspot for Arab Muslim immigration, cheered for Hamas terrorists during a "Free Palestine" rally on Tuesday.
The Ford Community Center for Performing Art was packed with protesters waving Palestinian flags and chanting, "Free Palestine."
Activist Amer Zahr, who led the event, said the violence in Israel is a response to Israeli "occupation." He also had some sharp words for Joe Biden, who he accused of giving Israel permission to commit "genocide."
"We are not ashamed to stand with the legitimate rights of Palestinians to live free from apartheid and occupation," he said.
There were chants of "No justice, no peace," a well-known Black Lives Matter slogan, and "End the occupation."
Osama Siblani, publisher of the Arab American News, elicited cheers when he defended Hamas, saying the group is "not a terrorist organization."

“We are not going to be intimidated by, stay silent when they say Hamas is a terrorist organization. The fact, it is not a terrorist organization," he said.
"The terrorist is Benjamin Netanyahu and his government. And not only Benjamin Netanyahu and his government but everyone who stands behind them and supports him killing people in Palestine."
The speakers expressed anger towards President Biden and Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) for supporting Israel. Whitmer danced and sang in solidarity with local Jews at a synagogue following the deadly assault last weekend.
"They are bunch of liars! They have betrayed us! They danced on our bodies! And our wrecked homes!" Siblani shouted.
Another speaker said that the "fire" in the hearts of Palestinians will "burn" Israel "until its demise."
The speakers included local imams and elected officials such as state Rep. Alabas Farhat, D-Dearborn and Deputy Wayne County Executive Assad Turf.
Notably, local congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D), the only Palestinian in Congress - who blamed the Hamas "resistance" on Israel - was not present.
Presidential candidate and former president Donald Trump has pledged to bring back his travel ban - labeled by some the "Muslim ban" - in light of Hamas' brutality.
Trump warned that the “same people that attacked Israel” are entering America through the southern border.
