The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was the one government agency that was never supposed to dip into the political side of government — but with a string of inconsistent messages and sudden rule changes with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s crystal clear why so many millions of American no longer trust the agency’s guidance.
The latest example was a bombshell revelation by CDC director Rochelle Walensky, who, according to the Daily Caller, admitted recently that PCR tests can test positive for COVID-19 up to 12 weeks after initial infection — in other words, long after a COVID-19 infection has dissipated from the body.
That means for the past two years, countless millions of Americans have likely stayed in isolation and quarantine long after they were required to, as their infections more than likely were long gone, but they kept testing positive for weeks — and months — after their initial infection.
Many doctors and scientists have long warned that the rapid antigen tests were overly sensitive, but were essentially ignored by the CDC and Dr. Tony Fauci, lord of pandemic guidance.
The CDC director is now taking fire for just now releasing what many consider to be critical pandemic-related information which, interesting, comes on the heels of President Joe Biden’s White House seemingly taking a new approach to its messaging on the pandemic.
“We know it performs really well during that period where you’re initially infected, but the FDA has not at all looked at whether … your positive antigen really does correlate with whether you’re transmissible or not,” Walensky said during a recent Good Morning America interview, according to the Daily Caller.
She added: “So we would have people in isolation for a very long time if we were relying on PCRs.”
Such an admission also raises questions about the guidance Americans have been given for nearly two years, as the CDC has based its course of action on the results of those tests, millions of which could have been outright false positives.
“This means that for the past 21 months, people sat home for extra days and weeks because their test came back with an irrelevant positive. We didn’t know this 6, 12, 18 months ago? Really?” tweeted Yossi Gestetner.
It was over the summer of 2021 that Walensky, during an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, said national vaccine mandates were an approach being “looked into” by the Biden administration.
She would quickly walk back the claim, with Biden’s White House insisting that such mandates would never be in place. One only needs to fast-forward a few months after that, and wouldn’t you know it, the Biden administration came up with several federal mandates that cover over 100 million Americans.
As long as the CDC, the Biden administration, and liberal media-approved “experts” continue to release inconsistent information, and oftentimes outright lies, tens of millions of Americans — or more — will no longer heed advice from those entities, or at the very least, remain extremely skeptical, and rightfully so.
