The United States Secret Service has reportedly launched a probe into one of its own agents who allegedly tried to sneak his wife onto a plane accompanying President Donald Trump's trip to Scotland this week.

Susan Crabtree of RealClearPolitics posted on X: "The Secret Service has launched an investigation into an incident over the weekend in which an agent tried to smuggle his wife onto a USSS carplane accompanying President Trump's visit to Scotland."

"The agent in question is a Phase 1 agent (new trainee in first years on the job) who was written up multiple times for misconduct at the Rowley Training Center where agents go through their preliminary training to become agents and can wash out if held to proper standards, according to two sources in the Secret Service community."

Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the agency, provided a statement, indicating: "The U.S. Secret Service is conducting a personnel investigation after an employee attempted to invite his spouse – a member of the United States Air Force – aboard a mission support flight.

"The aircraft, operated by the U.S. Air Force, was being used by the Secret Service to transport personnel and equipment. Prior to the overseas departure, the employee was advised by supervisors that such action was prohibited, and the spouse was subsequently prevented from taking the flight.

"No Secret Service protectees were aboard and there was no impact to our overseas protective operations."

Crabtree notes the statement by Guglielmi "leaves several basic questions unanswered as to why this agent thought it would be okay to take his wife, an Air Force employee, on the C-17 carplane to Scotland."

"When I asked whether anyone in a position of authority signed off on it or gave the impression it would be okay, Guglielmi told me the investigation would determine that."

Crabtree originally reported: "The agent flew his wife to Maryland, then she even received the official Secret Service country brief at the hotel and rode the bus to the distinguished visitor lounge at Joint Base Andrews before she was discovered and told to leave."

Some reaction online includes:

"DEFINITELY, the agent & his wife have to be seriously investigated. With the bounty put on Pres Trump's head by Iran we have to go to the old cliche 'EVERYONE HAS A PRICE.' Personally Pres Trump's Secret Service detail cannot take things like this lightly. Remember Butler!!"

"I'm sure I'll get a lot of hate for this, but we have bigger fish to fry in the Secret Service than this agent inviting his active-duty wife. Is it unbecoming? Absolutely. But I'm more interested in learning more about the kid in Pennsylvania than this incident."

The fight over pro-life activists who want to protest near abortion businesses, displaying signs offering to adopt babies, and more, has gone on again and again across the United States.

Many times the battles are the result of ignorance on the part of city officials who fail to recognize that speech, in fact, is protected by the U.S. Constitution.

But the arguments often take up court time, and incur costs for those targeted anyway.

It appears that might not be the case in Carbondale, Illinois.

There, city officials cited in a lawsuit brought by the American Center for Law and Justice on behalf of pro-life activist Brandon Hamman have failed to respond to the accusations.

They only filed a motion for summary judgment, the ACLJ said, "without filing any responsive pleading to our complaint."

"When the ACLJ filed suit to defend Brandon's constitutional rights, we expected the city to file an answer denying our allegations. Instead, they made a critical procedural error that has blown their case wide open. … Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 8(b)(6), this means they have legally admitted to every single allegation we made against them. This changed everything."

The legal team explained, "The city's own lawyers have handed us a constitutional confession."

It described the situation as a "stunning procedural misstep."

Their admissions now include that they discriminate against religious speakers simply because they advocate for the sanctity of life.

The client, Hamman, "embodies the heart of the pro-life movement. As a dedicated Christian missionary and sidewalk counselor, Brandon serves through his ministry, Gospel for Life. His ministry offers hope and practical support to women facing crisis pregnancies. His work flows directly from his deep faith and belief in the sanctity of every human life," the ACLJ reported.

He was peacefully displaying signs near an abortion business in Carbondale in April, signs that included "We will adopt your baby." "Love your preborn neighbor as yourself" and more.

But Community Development Manager John Lenzini and city attorney Jamie Snyder targeted him.

They "declared that Brandon's pro-life signs were 'commercial' and therefore prohibited and when he cited the First Amendment, Lenzini said he didn't have that right.

They threatened him with citations.

"By failing to file an answer, the city of Carbondale has been forced to admit some truly damaging facts in our complaint," the report said, including viewpoint discrimination, selective enforcement, denial of permit rights, and no legitimate safety concerns.

"These admissions are devastating. Now, the city could ask the court to relieve them of these admissions – but doing so would require them to publicly acknowledge their procedural mistake and demonstrate inexcusable neglect. Such a motion would be an admission that their legal team failed to follow basic federal court procedures, undermining their credibility before the very judge who will decide this case," the legal team noted.

The case, the ACLJ said, represents a troubling pattern across the country, of "government officials weaponizing vague ordinances against pro-life Christians, while allowing other forms of expression to proceed freely."

The judge handling the case now has been delivered a proposed motion for summary judgement that would declare Carbondale's ordinance unconstitutional and an injunction preventing future discrimination.

Saying he's had a "fantastic run," Glenn Kessler, the longtime so-called "fact-checker" for the Washington Post, announced Monday he's finally leaving the newspaper after receiving a buyout.

"After more than 27 years at The Washington Post, including almost 15 as The Fact Checker, I will be leaving on July 31, having taken a buyout," Kessler said on LinkedIn.

"Much as I would have liked to keep scrutinizing politicians in Washington, especially in this era, the financial considerations were impossible to dismiss."

Kessler indicated he now plans to write books.

"This year I completed a novel about a love triangle set in 1920s Dutch East Indies (colonial Indonesia), based on State Department cables I found in the National Archives," he explained. "I have an idea for a nonfiction project and am open to freelance or consulting opportunities."

Breitbart News noted: "Many of you know Kessler was merely a left-wing op-ed writer packaged as an 'objective' voice," as it posted a list of "his worst offenses over the years."

In May, the New York Post described Kessler as a "propaganda mill."

"If there was such a thing as shame anymore, the Washington Post's pompous 'Fact Checker' column would close up shop," the editorial board of the New York Post wrote.

"New revelations in 'Original Sin,' a book about President Joe Biden's decline, show how the White House covered up the obvious — and propaganda outlets like the Fact Checker shamed any media that broke ranks.

"Take Biden's wandering off from a group of world leaders at last June's D-Day celebrations: The New York Post's front page read 'MEANDER IN CHIEF,' which sent Fact Checker writer Glenn Kessler into a fit of apoplexy: "'Cheapfake' Biden videos enrapture right-wing media, but deeply mislead' was his headline. Kessler gave us 'Four Pinocchios' for promoting a 'false narrative.'"

Another critic of Kessler's work is Fox News contributor Steve Milloy, who said he's "had numerous occasions to fact check departing long-time WaPo 'fact checker.'"

As for what's next for the fact-checker position at the Washington Post, Kessler said: "I'm not sure. As many people at The Post know, I tried to arrange a short-term contract that would have given the editors time to find a worthy successor and allow me to train him or her. I didn't want The Post to have a gap in fact-checking coverage during this fraught period in U.S. history. But we couldn't work out an agreement. (Okay, so I buried the lede.)

"In 2018, when the Fact Checker team was compiling a database of more than 30,000 Trump claims, I told the New York Times that 'I have the best job in journalism.' I still believe that, and I'm sorry to leave without a replacement lined up. But it's the right time for me. I hope The Post finds someone to carry on this important project."

As police in Cincinnati announce five arrests have been made in connection with the brutal weekend beating of several white people by an angry mob, the woman seen in a viral video getting knocked unconscious is revealing a disturbing detail.

"Holly said not a single local or state official had yet reached out as of earlier this afternoon, other than one police detective," said Vivek Ramaswamy, the Republican candidate for Ohio governor, who spoke to the woman whose last name was not provided.

"I spoke to Holly earlier today (the woman tragically assaulted in Cincinnati this weekend)," Ramswamy said on X.

"She's a single working mom who went to a friend's birthday party. It's unconscionable that there were no police present in that area of Cincinnati on a Friday night, or even an ambulance to take her to the hospital."

Ramswamy continued: "Hard-working Americans shouldn't have to worry for their safety when they have a good time in our cities. Holly said not a single local or state official had yet reached out as of earlier this afternoon, other than one police detective.

"Leftists like to lecture about 'systemic injustice' while thugs turn our turn cities into war zones. I'm done with their excuses. As governor, I'll make sure they're behind bars, not running wild.

"Our cops will have the green light to restore order – no apologies. Holly appreciates the kind words and prayers from patriots across the country, and hopes that the publicity around her story ensures that local & state leaders clean up our failing cities. We hope to visit Holly soon as she recovers."

Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said Monday that five people have now been charged with crimes for the violence early Saturday morning.

"At this time, we have victims and suspects identified, and we have charged five people in this offense," Theetge said. "I'm not going to release that information to you. I will say if individuals were down there and participated in this event, it would be in their best interest to come turn themselves in at one of our police districts."

"We have five we have charged and anticipate more," Theetge added. "Let me be clear. Anyone, anyone who put their hands on another individual during this incident in an attempt to cause harm will face consequences. I don't care which side of the incident or the fight they were on. If they place their hands on somebody in an attempt to cause harm, that is unacceptable."

Theetge slammed the estimated 100 witnesses to the incident, noting only "one phone call" to police was made, adding it "is unacceptable" that only "one person did the right thing and called 9-1-1."

FOX19 reported the incident may have been sparked by "racial comments."

"An anonymous witness reported that the situation started several minutes before the fight shown in the videos," the station reported. "The footage captured a man, who, according to the witness, seemed to be intoxicated.

"The witness says the man walked away, but returned about 15 minutes later with a group of people who were overheard making racial comments."

As WorldNetDaily reported, Vice President JD Vance on Monday was horrified by the perpetrators' actions, and urged law enforcement to "throw their a**es in prison."

"I don't know how the fight started, but the one part that I saw that was really gruesome is you had a grown man who sucker-punched a middle-aged woman. And from where I come from, at least, when you have a grown man who sucker-punches a middle-aged woman, that person ought to go to jail for a very long time," said Vance.

"And frankly, he's lucky there weren't some better people around because they would have handled it themselves. But if they're not gonna handle it, the cops in Cincinnati, the law enforcement, you've got to prosecute people. We've had way too much lawlessness on the streets of great American cities.

"We have got to make great American cities safe again for families and children," Vance concluded.

"If you want to take your wife or your children out for a meal, you shouldn't be worried about street violence, and the only way to destroy that street violence is to take the thugs who engage in that violence and throw their a**es in prison."

A suspicious package dropped near the White House led to a rapid intervention by the U.S. Secret Service on Sunday afternoon, Fox News reported.

A quick response by authorities around the U.S. Treasury Building adjacent to the White House ensured the safety of the area.

An individual was caught by the U.S. Secret Service’s Uniformed Division around 2:30 p.m. after they scaled a fence on the southeast side of the U.S. Treasury Building. This building, critical in government operations, shares proximity with the White House, necessitating swift security measures.

Security Measures Initiated After Fence Breach

The suspect, whose motives remain unclear, discarded a bag next to the Treasury's fence line as they were apprehended. The presence of the bag prompted immediate precautionary actions due to its suspicious nature.

Following the suspect’s apprehension, the Metropolitan Police Department’s EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) team was called in. Their expertise was crucial in handling and clearing the potentially dangerous item, ensuring no harm could come to the public or the officials within the premises.

Once the bag was deemed harmless, the focus shifted to the suspect, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation. The reason behind the medical evaluation remains unreported, but such measures are customary in security protocols involving high-stress scenarios.

Legal Ramifications and Past Security Concerns

The incident not only triggered immediate security protocols but also legal repercussions for the suspect. Charged with unlawful entry and being a fugitive from justice, the individual also faces existing legal challenges in another jurisdiction, highlighting a potentially troubled background.

Security around President Donald Trump has been a contentious issue, especially following his two close calls with assassination attempts during his 2024 campaign. The first of these occurred on July 13, 2024, when a gunman opened fire at a campaign rally, grazing President Trump's ear.

The gunman involved in the 2024 rally incident was quickly neutralized by security forces present, showcasing the continuous threat public figures confront and the relentless vigilance required by security agencies.

Subsequent Assassination Attempt and Response

Less than three months after the first attempt, another significant security breach took place as Ryan Routh was arrested near the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Routh was found with a rifle and later charged with assaulting a federal officer, firearms violations, and attempted assassination.

Routh’s bold approach underscores the ongoing risks associated with protecting high-profile figures in politically charged environments. His trial, where he plans to represent himself, is eagerly anticipated by those following political security narratives.

The repeated threats to Trump highlight a broader issue of increasing political violence or attempts thereof, which demands constant refinement of security protocols and measures. Moreover, incidents like these serve as timely reminders of the vulnerabilities even the most secure venues face and the tireless efforts of security agencies to mitigate these risks.

Reflection on Security and Political Safety

In light of recent events and the historical context of political figure assassinations, the Secret Service and other affiliated security agencies remain on high alert. The swiftness with which they responded to the July 27 incident is a testament to their preparedness and dedication to safeguarding public figures.

The ongoing evaluations and enhancements of security measures around political figures are crucial in an era marked by significant divisiveness and potential threats. The lessons learned from such incidents shape future security protocols, which are critical in providing a secure environment for governance and public interactions.

As investigations continue into the motives and background of the suspect detained near the White House, the implications for future security operations and legal frameworks are significant. Ensuring the safety of key political figures remains a high priority for the nation, reflecting the complex interplay between freedom, safety, and justice in contemporary society.

Vice President JD Vance on Monday blasted the "mob of lawless thugs" engaged in a "really gruesome" weekend attack on white people in Cincinnati, as he urged law enforcement to "throw their a**es in prison."

His remarks came as police have reportedly identified at least four suspects.

Speaking to a crowd in Canton, Ohio, Vance said: "I haven't seen the full context, but what I saw was a mob of lawless thugs beating up on an innocent person and it's disgusting.

"And I hope every single one of those people who engaged in violence is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And they will be, they will be so long as law enforcement in the state of Ohio takes their job seriously.

Vance continued: "I don't know how the fight started, but the one part that I saw that was really gruesome is you had a grown man who sucker-punched a middle-aged woman. And from where I come from, at least, when you have a grown man who sucker-punches a middle-aged woman, that person ought to go to jail for a very long time.

"And frankly, he's lucky there weren't some better people around because they would have handled it themselves. But if they're not gonna handle it, the cops in Cincinnati, the law enforcement, you've got to prosecute people. We've had way too much lawlessness on the streets of great American cities.

"If you want to take your wife or your children out for a meal, you shouldn't be worried about street violence, and the only way to destroy that street violence is to take the thugs who engage in that violence and throw their a**es in prison."

Ken Kober, president of the Cincinnati Fraternal Order of Police, told WLWT-TV he believes the victims were taken to the hospital with "pretty serious injuries" and would be "recovering from this for a while."

"There's a difference between a mutual fight and an absolute savage attack. You have somebody who's knocked to the ground and kicked in the head by multiple people and a woman trying to break this up and she gets knocked out. Just because it starts as a mutual fight, it doesn't give you the right to savagely attack somebody," Kober said.

"If you can't behave yourself in public, you have no business being out there. The police can't be everywhere all the time. You have all these things going on and we only have so many police officers," he added.

"Hopefully it tells elected officials, it tells judges that society is tired of this. It's something that never should be here, and nearly 25 years I've been with the police department, I've never seen something this disgusting. It's people downtown trying to enjoy themselves and this mob mentality it taking over and it needs to be addressed," Kober said.

The horrific beating caught the attention of the U.S. Justice Department and other federal officials, who are "closely" monitoring how local officials handle the investigation.

"Our federal hate crimes laws apply to ALL Americans," said Harmeet Dhillon, assistant attorney general for Civil Rights at the Justice Department.

"We @CivilRights will monitor closely how local authorities handle this attack. Nobody in our great nation should be the victim of such a crime, and where race is a motivation, federal law may apply."

Dhillon was responding to a post by U.S. Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, who indicated: "The Mayor of Cincinnati, @AftabPureval, who has an opinion on lots of irrelevant topics, has not issued a statement, let alone a condemnation, of this heinous attack.

"Instead of dreaming about higher office, which will never happen, he should be ensuring his residents are safe."

As WorldNetDaily reported Sunday, Cincinnati police are investigating a graphic assault by blacks Saturday injuring at least three white people, with the violence documented in disturbing viral videos.

Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge is slamming the perpetrators, indicating: "I am in complete disgust waking up to the viral video many of you have now seen."

"The behavior displayed is nothing short of cruel and absolutely unacceptable. Our investigative team is working diligently to identify every individual involved in causing harm. It's also important to clarify: this was a sudden dispute between individuals following a verbal altercation. It was not connected in any way to the Music Fest. If you have any information related to this incident, please contact Crime Stoppers immediately at 513-352-3042."

The incident has received local media attention, but the national media have been largely silent. Elon Musk is asking, "Why zero stories?"

Cincinnati Police have not released any information regarding a motive.

A gunman wearing a bulletproof vest stormed a Manhattan skyscraper Monday, opening fire and killing a police officer and at least four civilians before turning the gun on himself.

Law-enforcement sources told the New York Post the man entered the 44-story office building housing Blackstone and the NFL headquarters armed with a rifle and opened fire at around 6:30 p.m.

Published reports identify the shooter as 27-year-old Shane Tamura of Las Vegas, Nevada.

CNN reports: "The suspected gunman, who is now dead, had a concealed carry license for a handgun, multiple law enforcement officials told CNN.

"The suspect, believed to be a 27-year-old from Las Vegas, has an expired private investigator license, sources told CNN.

"Police backtracked the suspect to his car, which video shows him exiting alone."

At least six people were shot in the onslaught.

"FBI New York Field Office management personnel and agents are responding to provide support at the active crime scene in Manhattan," said FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino.

FBI Director Kash Patel said: "The FBI is on scene at the Manhattan crime scene. The NYPD currently has the lead in this investigation. Our personnel are there to support their efforts. Motive is currently under investigation."

A first-floor witness said "it sounded like a barrage of shots … Like an automatic weapon. Like a high-capacity weapon."

Photos on social media showed workers inside the Blackstone building barricading their offices.

"At this time, the scene has been contained and the lone shooter has been neutralized," NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed on X.

"We don't have enough police," said New York Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa told Sean Hannity on Fox News. "And we need photo recognition technology … so we can preemptively do something."

Sliwa warned that terrorists would "take advantage of these kind of weaknesses."

"There are potential terrorists watching how easy it is to walk through the streets of New York City, to carry an AR-15, to walk into a corporate world headquarters that represents capitalism and then slaughter people indiscriminately."

"This is just senseless and cruel," said Fox News contributor Ted Williams. "He had a purpose and he didn't even hide his purpose."

U.S. Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., said he expected Democrats in Congress to call more more gun control in the wake of the horror.

"We've got hundreds of gun-control laws," he told Sean Hannity. "We don't need more gun control, we need more idiot control, and that's what we need to be talking about."

"I believe there's objective evil in this world, and we saw it today."

The Post reports: "Two apparent protesters, including one who yelled, 'Free Palestine, I'm not the shooter,' were arrested outside of the building around the time of the shooting."

The paper spoke with Oleksandr Stupak, 30, who was standing on the street nearby when he heard gunshots ring out.

"I was on the one block away and I heard shots being fired and then a bunch of police, they came to neutralize it," he said. "I went to the Citizen app and it says active shooting. A lot of police started to come. I mean. [It's] crazy."

Speaking at the 2025 Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference in California on Thursday, liberal Justice Elena Kagan said that the high court has a "responsibility" to "explain" its emergency rulings, which are becoming more frequent during the Trump era as Democrat-run states seem to be suing his administration every time one of his executive orders doesn't go the way they'd like.

Justices “should be cautious about acting on the emergency docket,” Kagan cautioned.

“Courts are supposed to explain things,” she said. “I think as we have done more and more on this emergency docket, there becomes a real responsibility that I think we didn’t recognize when we first started down this road, to explain things better.”

How emergency rulings work

Emergency rulings are typically done on an expedited basis and result in an unsigned ruling with no accompanying explanation.

There are also no oral arguments and limited briefing because of time limitations and the emergency nature of the case.

Such rulings can make it difficult to understand the legal basis for court's actions and leaves other jurists confused about how legal precedents work.

Normal rulings are usually accompanied by lengthy briefs that explain the reasoning behind the ruling.

Trying to shut Trump down

The emergency rulings have been increasingly requested by the Trump administration because he is being sued constantly in a way that no other president before him has been.

Without the emergency rulings, his policies are in serious danger of being completely shut down by liberal judges ruling in a partisan manner and with malice toward Trump because they oppose him in knee-jerk fashion.

The court has recognized this tendency and doesn't want to see the country ruled in this way.

Threatening democracy

The left fully believes its own garbage about democracy being threatened by Trump, and the right fully believes it is the left that is threatening democracy.

Trying to weaponize the courts against a rightfully elected president is about as big a threat to democracy as it's possible to have.

If both sides can't see the error in thinking that every policy disagreement is a threat to democracy, the country is in big trouble.

Our unity appears to be fracturing beyond repair, and what's left might be a broken republic that can no longer function.

Chaos erupted in the sky Sunday as a deranged man on a flight to Scotland threatened to blow up the plane and "send a message" of death to Donald Trump while the U.S. president is in Scotland.

"I'm going to bomb the plane! Death to America! Death to Trump!" the 41-year-old man screamed before fellow passengers tackled him to the floor of easyJet flight 609 from London to Glasgow.

The harrowing incident took place about 8 a.m., an hour after departure from London's Luton Airport.

One passenger told the London newspaper The Sun: "He literally came out of the toilet shouting 'Allahu Akbar' (God is great) with his hands above his head. Then he said 'I've got a bomb, I've got a bomb' – at this point, people were confused."

"I thought he was joking, I mean, it's a weird joke."

"He pushed the airline staff and was being aggressive towards them. He was a big guy, about six foot, and they were these petite women," the passenger added.

"When he pushed them, that's when things changed. At that point, one guy managed to grab him from behind and pull him down, then everyone jumped on top of him.

"He was fighting a bit on the floor, but at this point, he knew he'd f***ked up."

"The pilot announced he was making an emergency landing and took the plane down so quickly," he continued.

"Everyone who wasn't restraining him was told to sit down. The three guys pinning him down, they landed whilst pinning him down. It was incredible.

"I've never seen that before. The airline staff, they were all girls, they were really shaken up by it, but they were super professional."

"Some of the passengers were crying because they were shaken up. It was just a bit surreal."

President Trump was just an hour away from Glasgow at his Turnberry golf course, as he announced new trade deals with the European Union.

EasyJet confirmed police arrested a suspect whose name has not been released after the plane was forced to make an emergency landing.

"Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow this morning was met by police on arrival in Glasgow, where they boarded the aircraft and removed a passenger due to their behavior onboard," the company indicated.

"The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always easyJet's highest priority."

In what's being called a "disgusting" racial attack, Cincinnati police are investigating a graphic assault by blacks Saturday injuring at least three white people, with the violence documented in a disturbing viral video.

"In the footage, a man, whose identity remains unknown, is repeatedly hit and kicked in the head by multiple people, sending him to the ground. The group of people then continues to assault the man while he lies on the ground," reports WLWT-TV, the local NBC affiliate.

"At one point, the man can be seen attempting to stand up as the barrage of attacks by the crowd temporarily comes to a stop. He immediately falls over in apparent disorientation, as cars honk their horns for the assembled crowd to move out of the road.

"Later on in the video, a woman can be seen sneaking up from behind and grabbing at another woman who was seen checking on the fallen man, while a separate man in the crowd punches her. The punch causes the woman to fall to the ground, with her head slamming down onto the concrete.

"After a moment, it becomes apparent that the woman is unconscious, as blood can be seen streaming from her mouth. The video ends as bystanders attempt to move the woman out of the street.

"It is unclear whether the man and woman who were attacked have any connection to one another."

The beatings occurred as the four-day Cincinnati Music Festival was taking place.

Alex Jones of Infowars said of the horror: "The left is promoting racial attacks on white people and then covering up the attacks. I am going to continue to expose this garbage. The crime statistics are clear black on white crime is at least 15 to one. Most Black people are not engaged in this activity, but a tiny minority is and the left is covering it up."

Ken Kober, president of the Cincinnati Fraternal Order of Police, told WLWT, "The violence this video shows downtown is disgusting."

"What's equally disgusting is those who chose to watch and record instead of calling 9-1-1, attempting to defuse the situation or render aid. I have full faith in the Central Business Section Investigators they will make arrests in the near future. It will then be the responsibility of the court system to hold these violent thugs accountable."

Ohio state Rep. Cecil Thomas is urging anyone with information to come forward to the police.

"I've just observed several video clips of an assault that took place last night in our downtown," Thomas told the station. "It turned my stomach and I was angry and totally embarrassed to see such behavior, especially, during the Music Festival weekend that's has been historically free of such horrifying violence, not to mention a Reds home game. There are so many visitors from around the country currently in our city."

"It's this kind of behavior that makes me wish I was still on the force," Thomas added. "It's unacceptable under any standard and those involved should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

"Therefore as your State Representative, I trust that there will be a full and complete investigation of this incident by the Cincinnati Police Department and to bring charges against all involved. There's enough cameras in the area as well as cellphone videos to clearly determine how it started and who all was involved."

The identity and conditions of the victims remain unknown.

While local TV in Cincinnati has reported the violence, national media have been largely silent.

Comments online include:

"This is a hate crime that has attempted murder, written all over it. Why won't the media cover Cincinnati?"

"The race war has already begun. Last night at a music festival, multiple white people were viciously targeted by gangs of blacks in a racially motivated attack. Random black attacks against white people have become a daily occurrence."
