All sorts of new information is coming out regarding the background of Tyler Robinson, the accused assassin who took the life of conservative activist and loving father Charlie Kirk.
According to the New York Post, newly released police bodycam footage of Robinson surfaced this week. The footage was from an incident that happened three years prior to shooting Kirk at a Utah university earlier this month.
What was especially interesting about the footage was the fact that Robinson was wearing essentially the same attire he wore on the day he shot Kirk.
At the time of the incident, which included Robinson talking to local police about a car accident he was in, he was only 19 years old.
The bodycam footage was mostly Robinson discussing with police the car accident he was in with a Ford sedan.
The Post noted:
The video, obtained by Scripps News, shows the then-19-year-old Robinson calmly speaking with police after crashing his silver Audi into a Ford sedan making a left turn at an intersection in St. George, Utah.
“As I was coming through, he turned in, and I T-boned into the side of him," Robinson said in the nearly eight-minute video, which has never before been released.
The outlet added:
Robinson, wearing a gray shirt, black shades and a gray hat, was driving with his brother in the passenger seat; both, along with the other driver, walked away uninjured.
The luxury car, leaking oil, was shown in the footage with its front hood smashed in.
"Just as I left the house, I put oil in it, just topped it off," he said, joking with the responding police officer. The video also showed Robinson's mother showing up with insurance documents in the wake of the crash.
🚨 WATCH VERY CLOSELY🚨
New police bodycam footage just released of Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson.
We finally hear him speak.
What does his demeanor tell you? pic.twitter.com/HerfHYgSif— HustleBitch (@HustleBitch_) September 20, 2025
Users across social media weighed in on the video, which is the first time the public has heard Robinson's voice.
"I thought it was weird that his response when the cop said his car was leaking was that he had just topped off his oil before leaving his house? Is that a thing? Genuinely asking," one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "He was a normie before he went to college an a full academic scholarship. Within a semester he was radicalized."
It'll be interesting to see if any additional footage of Robinson emerges in the coming days and weeks.

A cryptic post by California Gov. Gavin Newsom's press office had the interet a buzz Saturday.
The post reads, "Kristi Noem is going to have a bad day today.
"You're welcome, America."
Noem, of course, is secreatary of the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees ICE, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The Trump administration agreed that Team Newsom's tweet looked like a threat. As The Gateway Pundit reports, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin slammed Newsom for hiding behind a keyboard to "threaten" Noem.
"This reads like a threat," McLaughlin wrote. "This is ugly, @GavinNewsom."
"Your keyboard warrior team may hide behind their laptops and spew this kind of vitriol but you would never have the guts to say this to her face," she added.
Acting U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli was next to respond, saying the alleged threat has now been referred to the Secret Service.
One X user posted: "A week after the most consequential political assassination since Kennedy, Newsom is threatening Kristi Noem. Any democrat saying the Right needs to 'turn down the temperature' is a liar and complicit."
Newsweek reports that Newsom signed five bills Saturday meant to protect immigrants, legal or otherwise.
President Donald Trump tore into radical Democrat Ilhan Omar amid revelations about a massive $8.4 million fraud scheme in Minnesota.
Eight individuals have been charged in a fraud scheme in Minnesota that allegedly resulted in over $8.4 million in stolen billings, and spotlights a growing issue of corruption in Minnesota, often tied to the massive Somali immigrant community.
The eight individuals have been identified as Moktar Hass Aden, Mustafa Dayib Ali, Khalid Ahmed Dayib, Abdifitah Mohamud Mohamed, Christopher Adesoji Falade, Emmanuel Oluwademilade Falade, Asad Ahmed Adow, and Anwar Ahmed Adow.
They are all accused of orchestrating a massive wire fraud scheme targeting the state's Housing Stabilization Services program. This program is a Medicaid-funded initiative designed to help poor Americans get stable housing.
This massive fraud scheme caught Trump's attention, who wasted no time in calling out Ilhan Omar, an avowed enemy of Trump's. Omar has been a prominent figure in national politics, but her home state appears to be a total mess.
Following the news of the charges, Trump took to Truth Social writing, “Does Ilhan Omar know these people? Are they from her wonderfully managed Home Country of Somalia?"
Continuing on, Trump explained, "Ilhan Omar’s Country of Somalia is plagued by a lack of central Government control, persistent Poverty, Hunger, Resurgent Terrorism, Piracy, decades of Civil War, Corruption, and pervasive Violence. 70% of the population lives in extreme Poverty, and widespread Food Insecurity."
Trump also pulled no punches in taking a direct shot at Omar over rumors that have swirled about her committing marriage fraud in order to enter the United States.
Trump wrote, "Somalia is consistently ranked among the World’s Most Corrupt Countries, including Bribery, Embezzlement, and a Dysfunctional Government. All of this, and Ilhan Omar tells us how to run America! P.S. Wasn’t she the one that married her brother in order to gain Citizenship??? What SCUM we have in our Country, telling us what to do, and how to do it. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Trump isn't just blustering on Truth Social; this fraud scheme is massive, and Democrats like Ilhan Omar have allowed their home states to fall into decline while daring to attack Trump for taking real action to solve serious issues.
Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Thompson stated during a press conference on Thursday that, "The level of fraud in these programs is staggering. Unfortunately, our system of trust but verify no longer works. These programs have been abused over and over to the point where fraud has overtaken the legitimate services."
This isn't just a one-off; there is a growing system of organized crime around defrauding federal and state welfare services and its Democrat politicians who have been looking the other way while this issue festers.
The program was started in 2020 and it was estimated that it would have an annual cost of $2.6 million. However, the program paid out a total of $302 million in claims over 4.5 years, which has now been confirmed to have been mostly fraud.
Adam Jobes, an agent for the IRS Criminal Investigation, stated, "The charges filed today represent another big blow to organized program fraud in Minnesota. The Minnesota Housing Stabilization Service program was supposed to be a groundbreaking resource to provide stability, assistance, and dignity to seniors and individuals with disabilities."
Minnesota is another strongly Democrat state that has experienced out-of-control crime and fraud, and it's worth wondering which well-connected Democrat politicians may have been involved in a fraud scheme this massive.

A sitting member of Congress has come up with a startling definition of "criminal." It's apparently not someone who commits a crime.
That's according to Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, who boasted during an interview of having conversations with "people that were going out and committing crimes."
"I do want people to know that, just because someone has committed a crime doesn't make them a criminal. … Being a criminal is more so about your mindset."
Her comments prompted a commenter to post online the definition from the Oxford dictionary explaining "crim-i-nal" is "a person who has committed a crime."
"While mindset and intent can influence the severity or context of the act, the label 'criminal' is tied to the action itself, not just a state of mind," said another.
Under Crockett's mindset, driving a truck would not necessarily make one a truck driver, and sitting behind a bench in a courtroom and delivering judgments would not necessarily make one a judge.
Nor would being elected make someone a member of Congress?
Fox News described how she claimed to be working on how to make communities safer.
"And I do think that I'm in a unique situation because I was having the conversations with people that were going out and committing crimes. And so, I understood what was kind of pushing them there. And so, I do want people to know that, just because someone has committed a crime, it doesn't make them a criminal. That is completely different. Being a criminal is more so about your mindset. Committing a crime can come for a lot of different reasons," she claimed.
She then amplified her longstanding anti-Trump agenda, stating that it's "the MAGA gang" that is responsible for crime being "out of control" rather than illegal aliens.
She earlier claimed that police are not there to prevent crime, just solve it after the fact.
Another commenter quoted George Orwell's "1984" stating, "Love is Hate, War is Peace."
Other situations were suggested: "So if I snatch that bling right off your neck it's not criminal cause I was just jealous you had a necklace I didn't."
And alarmingly, one commenter said, "So if you kill, but you thought you were helping society, then that's ok?? Right??"
The Gateway Pundit called her "thicko" in a report about her interview with a Netflix personality.
It explained, "Over the past year, Crockett has become notorious for her vulgar language, shocking ignorance, and deliberately provocative remarks — especially when discussing President Trump or the wider conservative movement."
Further, it reported, "During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday, Crockett downplayed the murder of Kayla Hamilton, a 20-year-old autistic woman who was raped and killed by an MS-13 gang member in 2022."

It's become a popular political statement these days – as Democrats flail against the voter-endorsed MAGA and border security agenda of President Donald Trump – for Democrats to obstruct federal law enforcement.
It's happened again, as about a dozen New York state and local elected Democrats were arrested Thursday for blocking work by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in in Manhattan.
According to a Reuters report, "NYC Comptroller Brad Lander, New York Democratic State Senator Julia Salazar and New York Democratic State Representative Robert Carroll attempt to gain access to inspect the conditions of detention cells at U.S. immigration court in Manhattan."
They banged on pans, screamed, shouted, refused to leave and eventually, "New York City Comptroller Brad Lander and 10 state lawmakers were taken into custody inside 26 Federal Plaza."
They claimed to be there to "ensure compliance" with a court order on Thursday requiring ICE to improve conditions at the lockup.
The report said, state Reps. Marcela Mitaynes, Emily Gallagher, Robert Carroll, and Steven Raga, New York Democratic State Sens. Julia Salazar, Gustavo Rivera and Jabari Brisport, and Lander, all Democrats, attempt to gain access to inspect the conditions of detention cells at U.S. immigration court in Manhattan,.
The city's public advocate, Jumaane Williams, led another group of several dozen anti-ICE protesters who blocked the building's garage entrance, sitting on the pavement with signs and chanting, "Say it loud, say it clear, immigrants are welcome here," the report explained.
In all, 71 individuals were arrested.
Last May, Rep. LaMonica McIver, a New Jersey Democrat, was arrested during a pitched battle outside an immigration detention center in Newark. And she was charged.
Tricia McLaughlin, of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, which is ICE's parent organization, said of Lander, "He yelled inside the building that he was 'not leaving' until detainees were 'released.'"
The resulting chaos ended up with the arrests.
And shortly after, the building was locked down because "someone called in a bomb threat," McLaughlin said.
A report at Red State said the 71 arrests included 15 elected Democrats "for illegally blocking entrances to a federal building … and obstructing law enforcement."
The report added, "Allegedly, the demonstrators were 'attempting to conduct oversight and confirm ICE compliance with [a] new court order requiring humane conditions for people detained at the facility.' It seems that no one told them that local officials have no right to conduct inspections or oversight in federal buildings, and if they spent as much time trying to make New York safe and clean as they devote to making it into a Third World crap hole, everyone would be happier."
Red State added, "I'm sure this kind of activity plays well with the far left in New York now and will probably play even better when crypto-Communist Zohran Mamdani takes charge. It will not play that well at the polls. While Trump is pushing several 80-20 issues, two of which are closing the border to illegal immigration and deporting illegals."
Gregory Bovino, who is heading operations in Chicago for U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, ridiculed Illinois state Sen. Karina Villa after she was caught on video making a tearful plea to ICE agents on behalf of illegal immigrants, UK Daily Mail reported. Bovino was speaking on Fox & Friends on Wednesday when he was asked to comment on the video.
As President Donald Trump's administration cracks down on illegal immigration, Democrats dig their heels in against it. Villa was one of those whose over-the-top, tearful pleas to ICE agents demonstrated the ridiculousness of that viewpoint.
Bovino took one look at her conduct and said Villa "may need some help" as the video showed her running down the street and demanding ICE agents remove their masks. Villa represents Illinois' 25th district, which includes areas such as West Chicago and sections of Aurora that have a heavily Hispanic population. She was the first Latina elected to the office and represents a population that is 82% U.S. citizen.
Many on the left routinely engage in political theater to score points with voters and become internet famous. After all, who can forget New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez crying in front of an empty parking lot back in 2019 as if she were upset at seeing migrants locked away?
Villa seems equally eager to make her mark in the same way after she confronted ICE agents who were just doing their job in a suburb of Chicago on Monday. The state senator can be seen wearing a white structured jacket, red pants, and tan high heels as she runs down the street with her message, like Paul Revere.
"This is my city! This is my city, that’s right!" she yells to ICE agents. Villa sounds like she's crying and becoming hysterical as she makes her impassioned plea to the agents who are outfitted with weapons and bulletproof vests.
She demands they "take off your masks" to the ICE officers and confronts them as they get into their vehicles, though they seem utterly indifferent to her antics. Villa then says to the camera, "Stay in your cars! Tell everyone to stay in their houses!"
There's no word on who captured the video, but Villa clearly wanted it out to the public as she shared it on her Instagram account. "'Today, masked ICE agents targeted families in my hometown as they brought kids to school & headed to work. I stood with my neighbors because fear has no place in our communities," Villa's caption read.
The message Villa was trying to get across fell flat for Bovino, who called Villa out for her insanity. When host Brian Kilmeade asked for Bovino's response, the ICE chief shared his concerns about Villa. "When I see this, I think she really needs to see someone. She may need some help," Bovino said.
He also noted that Villa's request to take the masks off is a bad idea as that part of the uniform is for the safety of the agents who are under attack from leftists angry about the illegal immigration crackdowns. "With a 1,000% increase in assaults against federal agents doing operations such as this, I think it makes sense for these masks to be there," Bovino said.
The official noted that an agent was attacked in Chicago and that their agents are at risk because of these confrontations. "There’s a reason for this," Bovino said. In just the last week, Bovino said there have been "several hundred arrests" in the Chicagoland area because of his agents.
"And you’re going to see those numbers rise," he added. Meanwhile, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has also pushed back against ICE operations, and Bovino said that he would "rather walk the streets with the governor" to show him the problem firsthand. "He better put his walking shoes on if he’s got them in. Let’s take a walk and look at the streets and look at what these aliens are doing to Chicago and its residents," Bovino added.
Villa's antics show that Democrats have yet another unhinged politician among their ranks. Even if they disagree with the ICE raids, which are necessary and very much a part of the agents' jobs, this is not the way to change things.
Pennsylvania senator John Fetterman is urging his fellow Democrats to drop their extreme rhetoric after the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Those who feel inclined to compare their fellow citizens to Nazis would do well to recall Hitler's atrocities, Fetterman told Fox News' Special Report.
"[D]o not ever, ever, ever compare anyone to Hitler. If not, go online and you can read up on exactly what he’s responsible for, 75 to 80 million lives lost and World War II. And you don’t compare him to anyone," Fetterman said.
When someone is repeatedly compared to Hitler, that "will incite somebody to say, well, now I feel like I have to stop that, and take them out," Fetterman noted.
The man accused of killing Kirk, Tyler Robinson, is a leftist who felt motivated to kill Kirk over his "hate."
Some left-wingers have celebrated the assassination or have suggested Kirk deserved it because of his "fascist" views.
The horrific murder caps a decade of incendiary rhetoric likening Trump and his millions of supporters to fascists. Trump survived two assassination attempts last year.
“People seem to have forgotten that the president took a shot to the head. And can you imagine if that shot would have gone the way Charlie Kirk’s went and what kind of condition our nation would be in?" Fetterman asked.
"This is such a dangerous time right now. And now why? You don’t need this [to be] an opportunity to share your opinions on it. Just, again, it’s appalling, and allow folks enough space to grieve. The man hasn’t even been buried yet. And it’s like, that’s why we wanted to have a conversation that we have to find a way to work together.”
While many Democrats responded to Kirk's assassination by condemning political violence, few in the party have rebuked the extreme rhetoric coming from their side.
Some Democrats, like Barack Obama, have even tried to blame Kirk's murder on President Trump, who was friends with Kirk.
Others, such as former late night host Jimmy Kimmel, have lied about the shooter's motive, falsely claiming he was a Trump supporter.
But Fetterman - who has been a thorn in the side of his fellow Democrats for some time now - is not letting his party off the hook.
"Any [kind] of extreme rhetoric, left or right, is really dangerous," he said.
A bomb squad was called to the Arizona headquarters of Turning Point USA after a "suspicious bag" was left outside, the Daily Mail reports.
The Phoenix headquarters has drawn crowds of mourners since the horrific assassination of Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk on September 10.
The scene was declared safe after Phoenix police sent a bomb robot and bomb squad officer dressed in an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) suit.
"There is not a threat associated with this incident. Updates will be given out as they become available," police said.
Kirk was fatally shot in the neck during one of his trademark debates at Utah Valley University on September 10. The horrific assassination was captured on harrowing video witnessed by millions.
All across the world, the 31-year-old husband and father of two is being mourned as a martyr for free speech and civil debate. His callous murder has also been celebrated by a radical fringe on the left that has sought to disparage his legacy.
There have been numerous incidents of vandalism targeting memorials for Kirk around the country. A 19-year-0ld man was criminally charged for destroying a memorial at Turning Point's headquarters on Sunday.
The suspect wore the same shirt as the man accused of murdering Kirk, 22-year-old Utah native Tyler Robinson.
The left-alleged assassin, described as left-leaning by his family, confessed to killing Kirk because of the conservative activist's "hatred."
Robinson was charged Tuesday with aggravated murder, exposing him to being executed by firing squad - in addition to felony discharge of a firearm, two counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child.
Kirk's political organization has been credited with fostering civil discourse and drawing young people to the right in the Trump era. His brutal murder has drawn attention to a rise in extremism and intolerance, particularly on the radical left.
President Trump has said he will designate anti-fa, a decentralized left-wing group, as a terrorist organization in the wake of Kirk's murder.
Kirk's funeral will be held Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, a 63,000-seat venue that is home to the Arizona Cardinals.
President Trump will make an appearance to pay respects to Kirk, who was a loyal supporter and friend of his.
Kirk, an evangelical Christian from the suburbs of Chicago, was raising a family in Arizona with his wife Erika, a Scottsdale native.

In the shadow of a weaponized deep state that devours its own patriots like so many discarded ballot stubs, Tina Peters – grandmother, Gold Star mom and election watchdog – languishes in a Colorado prison hellhole, her iron bars a monument to the radical left's unquenchable thirst for vengeance.
Rather than justice, most see it as the result of a Stalinist show trial, scripted by election-denying Democrats who fear the sunlight she dared to shine on their rigged machines.
And now, from the bully pulpit of the White House, President Donald J. Trump has roared his defiance of the corrupt system, branding Peters a "brave and innocent Patriot" tortured by "Crooked Colorado politicians" and demanding her chains be shattered immediately.
Trump, the unbowed warrior who survived impeachments, indictments and an assassin's bullet, sees in Peters the mirror of his own crusade: a lone truth-teller crushed under the boot of a fraudulent regime that stole 2020 and now silences anyone who exposes the crime.
Thus it is that, in a chilling tale of justice gone awry, a small-town election official currently sits behind bars, her life upended by a system that seems determined to silence her.
Tina Peters, once the trusted Mesa County clerk, now faces a staggering nine-year prison sentence, convicted of crimes her own prosecutors essentially admit she didn't commit.
Her "crime"? Daring to protect election records in the wake of the contentious 2020 presidential election, a fight that has left her career and life in tatters, her freedom stolen and her name smeared by a corporate press eager to paint her as a villain.
Yet, buried within the prosecution's own words lies a stunning admission: Tina Peters may be innocent, a patriot punished simply for upholding the law.
As her appeal fights its way through a Colorado court, the real question is whether truth will prevail, or will a rigged system keep her caged?
Tina Peters' appeal challenges conviction, alleges prosecutorial contradictions
Peters is appealing her October 2024 conviction on seven charges, including three felonies for "attempting to influence a public servant," "conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation" and "first-degree official misconduct."
Her appeal, filed May 30 in the Colorado Court of Appeals, argues that the district court erred in denying her immunity under the Supremacy and Privileges or Immunities Clauses, claiming her actions were lawful efforts to preserve federal election records. Peters' attorneys assert the evidence was insufficient to support her convictions, that she was denied due process and that her nine-year sentence for alleged nonviolent crimes violates her First, Eighth and Fourteenth Amendment rights.
The appeal highlights prosecutorial statements that appear to undermine their own case, suggesting Peters had the authority to act as she did and lacked the intent required for the criminal charges.
Prosecutors' statements undermine their case
Peters' appeal brief cites trial testimony that appears to exonerate her. David Underwood, a prosecution witness, testified that Peters, as the county's chief election official, had the sole authority to decide who could access the voting system for a software upgrade known as the "Trusted Build."
When asked if Peters made the decision to allow an observer, Underwood confirmed, "Yeah – she made the request. … She made the decision, correct? Not you." (Trial Transcript, 8/5/24, 92:22-25).
Similarly, Danny Casias, another witness, could not identify any decision he was influenced to make due to alleged deceit by Peters (Trial Transcript, 8/5/24, 167:24-168:4).
Regarding Jessi Romero, a third witness, evidence showed Peters was not involved in communications that could have influenced Romero's decisions (Exhibit 18, R. p. 26).
These statements, Peters' attorneys argue, prove she acted within her authority and lacked the intent to deceive, a critical element of the felony charges.
Alleged voter fraud in Mesa County
Peters' actions stemmed from concerns about voter fraud in Mesa County following the 2020 election. Her appeal notes that forensic reports revealed "shocking vulnerabilities and defects" in the county's voting systems, raising major questions about their reliability.
These findings prompted Peters to preserve election data, as federal law (52 U.S.C. §20701) mandates retaining election records for 22 months, and Colorado law (C.R.S. §1-1-110(3)) extends this to 25 months.
Reports of irregularities, such as unexplained vote-count discrepancies and potential software manipulations, fueled her investigation.
Peters sent letters to the county board of commissioners, district attorney and county attorney, warning that the voting systems were "fundamentally flawed, illegal and inherently unreliable," placing her office in legal jeopardy if data was destroyed.
Tina Peters' path to prison
Elected as Mesa County clerk in 2018, Peters served as the county's chief election official, responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state election laws.
In April 2021, Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold ordered all counties to install a software update for voting machines, which Peters learned would delete 2020 election data – a violation of federal law.
When Mesa County's IT department declined to oversee the update due to lack of expertise, Peters engaged Conan Hayes, an IT consultant with a federal security clearance, to observe the "Trusted Build" and create forensic images of the election management system (EMS) hard drive.
On May 23, 2021, under Peters' supervision, Hayes made these backups, preserving data that would otherwise have been lost. The prosecution alleged that Peters misrepresented Hayes as her employee, Gerald Wood, to gain access to the update process, accusing her of sneaking him into the facility.
However, the indictment itself acknowledges that county clerks were instructed to "back up any election projects on your voting system to removable media before our arrival" (Indictment, March 8, 2022, p. 10, ¶ 4).
Peters' actions aligned with this directive, performed after hours to avoid system interference.
Despite this, she was indicted on March 8, 2022, and convicted after a trial in August 2024.
On Oct. 3, 2024, Judge Matthew D. Barrett sentenced her to nine years in prison, a term her attorneys call disproportionate for alleged nonviolent offenses.
The corporate press vs. Tina Peters' defense
The corporate press and Wikipedia have portrayed Peters as a conspiracy theorist linked to figures like Mike Lindell, alleging that she orchestrated a security breach to undermine election integrity.
Wikipedia's entry on Peters claims she "allowed unauthorized access" to voting systems, a narrative echoed by outlets like CNN and the New York Times.
In contrast, her appeal brief argues that she acted lawfully to fulfill her duty under federal law. Her attorneys emphasize that Peters first sought qualified government experts, only turning to Hayes when they declined.
The brief also refutes claims of a security breach, noting that prosecutors admitted in court that Peters' actions caused no actual harm, and that the data preservation was consistent with legal requirements.
What Peters did – explained simply
Tina Peters, as Mesa County's election official, was responsible for keeping election records safe. Federal law says she had to keep 2020 election data for 22 months. Thus, when she learned a software update would erase this data, she hired Conan Hayes, an IT expert, to watch the update and make a backup of the data.
She let him into her office to do this, which as the official in charge she was allowed to do. The prosecution said she lied about Hayes being her employee, yet their own witnesses admitted Peters had the power to decide who could be there.
Peters didn't trick anyone, and her actions followed the law to protect election records.
Prosecutors' admissions of Peters' innocence
The prosecution's case hinges on Peters allegedly deceiving officials to allow Hayes access, but their own evidence contradicts this.
The appeal brief highlights that Underwood, Casias and Romero – the subjects of the felony counts – either confirmed Peters' authority or failed to show that she influenced their decisions through deceit.
The indictment's own acknowledgment that clerks were indeed advised to back up data further supports Peters' actions as lawful.
Her attorneys argue that the prosecution's failure to prove criminal intent, coupled with their own witnesses' testimony, amounts to an admission that Peters did not commit the crimes charged.
Trump's fiery stand for a fallen patriot
Enter President Trump, the indomitable force who has made liberating political prisoners like Peters a cornerstone of his second-term agenda, wielding the full might of the executive branch against the deep state's election-fraud enablers.
On Aug. 21, Trump unleashed a blistering Truth Social missive that cut through the fog of leftist rhetoric like a red-hot branding iron: "FREE TINA PETERS, a brave and innocent Patriot who has been tortured by Crooked Colorado politicians, including the big Mail-In Ballot supporting the governor of the State. Let Tina Peters out of jail, RIGHT NOW. She did nothing wrong, except catching the Democrats cheat in the Election. She is an old woman, and very sick. If she is not released, I am going to take harsh measures!!!"
This wasn't mere rhetoric from the man who exposed the 2020 "steal" and reclaimed the White House. It's a battle cry, echoing his earlier May directive to the Department of Justice to "take all necessary action" to spring Peters from what he called a "Communist persecution" dungeon.
With Peters having just turned 70 this month and her open letter to Trump pleading for deliverance as a Gold Star mom stripped of her dignity, the president's vow signals the storm to come: Federal habeas challenges, DOJ interventions and perhaps even the thunder of executive clemency if Colorado's corrupt overlords – led by the sneering Jena Griswold – refuse to yield.
Trump, who knows the sting of lawfare all too well, isn't just amplifying Peters' cry; he's weaponizing it, turning her plight into a rallying fire for every American weary of the two-tiered justice system where election truthers rot while the real crooks walk free.
As the Colorado sun sets over Mesa County, Tina Peters sits in a cell, her fate hanging in the balance.
A woman who courageously stood for transparency – but branded a criminal by a corrupt system.
While prosecutors' own words betray their case, and Trump's unyielding voice shakes the prison gates, the question remains: Will the courts now see through the fog of accusations?
Or will Peters, like so many patriots before her, pay a terrible price for daring to challenge a broken system?
The appeal moves forward, but time is running out.
For Tina Peters, it's not just about her freedom. It's about the truth, and whether that still matters in America today.

Newly released FBI documents are raising more questions about the Biden family's connections to a gas company under investigation at one point by Ukrainian authorities for corruption, Burisma.
The company's links to the Biden family already have been documented to run deep: Hunter Biden was paid some $1 million a year for several years to be on its board, even though he lacked expertise in running an energy company.
And Joe Biden is on record that he used his power as vice president under Barack Obama to threaten Ukraine with the loss of a billion dollars in American tax help at the time if a prosecutor investigating Burisma wasn't fired.
Republicans have been raising questions about the scandal for years already, and now Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, has released declassified files that suggest additional bribery allegations against Joe Biden and his scandal-plagued son, Hunter.
A report at the New York Post explains the documents released by Grassley memorialize two interviews, from 2017 and 2019, in which FBI sources provided details about the Bidens being linked to "a possible foreign bribery 'scheme' with Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings."
One of the major concerns now is the suggestion that the FBI never even investigated those allegations.
"The informants alleged that Zlochevsky sought to offer then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko $100 million in 'shares and guaranteed profits from gas sales' to stop an 'Interpol investigation' into Burisma — in which Joe and Hunter Biden had 'money invested' via a Latvian 'shell company,'" the report said.
Those FBI sources charged Joe Biden met with Poroshenko "to protect the interests" of his son and, by extension, Zlochevsky, who was paying Hunter Biden $1 million per year from May 2014 to April 2019 to be on Burisma's board.
The informant told the FBI two CIA officers took Zlochevsky to Yuriy Lutsenko, the prosecutor general of Ukraine, and "The CIA officers allegedly said Zlochevsky is protected by the U.S. and urged Lutsenko to stop the investigation on Zlochevsky and let him back into Ukraine. A deal was made, so Zlochevsky could pay $3 million in damages to get back into Ukraine."
Other business deals benefitting the Bidens also were alleged.
"We aren't saying the allegations are true, we want to know what the FBI did to fully investigate their veracity or lack thereof, and what they concluded," Grassley said. "Let's put this matter to rest, one way or the other."
Another FBI document, from 2017, said, "JOSEPH BIDEN would 'take care' of BURISMA HOLDING issues around the World and POROSHENKO would protect ZLOCHEVSKY."
A previous FBI informant document, released by Grassley two years ago, had an informant claiming Joe and Hunter Biden each took a $5 million bribe from Zlochevsky to "protect" Burisma from a corruption probe. That information later pleaded guilty to making false statements and was sentenced to prison, although his prosecution later was put under a review.
Biden, as vice president, pressured Ukrainian officials to fire a Ukrainian prosecutor in December 2015 by threatening to withhold up to $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees. The prosecutor was ousted months later by a vote of the nation's parliament.
