Some of the assassination survival rhetoric from the right about President Trump is disturbingly messianic in tone. We witnessed similar talk from the Israelis during his first term of office, which is more understandable from the Jewish perspective of God-ordained deliverers – their history being filled with fully human and humanly flawed "saviors" from Moses through Judges to the return from Babylon by the intervention of the Persian King Cyrus. Indeed, Trump was equated with Cyrus on a special commemorative coin.
From the Christian perspective, however, the true messiah is Jesus Christ, not a flawed human but a perfect God in human form, and it is only the Antichrists – such as Antiochus IV Epiphanus in the time of the Maccabees (Daniel 11) and the still future end-times Antichrist of Revelation who claim the messianic mantle for their imperfect, demonic selves. Indeed, in Christian eschatology, the entire world (except for "the elect") will be fooled into thinking the next/final Antichrist IS the Christ – the chief Christ imposter of the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24:3-26:1, Mark 13, Luke 21:7-36) and the White Horse prophecy of Revelation 6 (all of Revelation being Christ's expanded version of the Olivet prophecy as explained to John at the close of the Apostlic Age.) All prophecy is properly understood from the viewpoint of the Holy Land, the Israelis will be among but by no means even a majority of those bedazzled masses.
One of my oft-repeated themes in my columns is that I think Donald Trump is a modern equivalent to the Judges of Israel during the pre-monarchic Israelite Republic under the administration of the House of Israel. These were political/military "deliverers," but none of them were "the messiah." When, after 400 years, God wrenched power away from backslidden Israel and its capital Shiloh, and transferred it to the House of Judah in Jerusalem, the first true Judean King (conforming to the prophecy of Jacob in Genesis 48:10) was David, a Christ figure, but also not the Christ. However, a chorus of prophets states that the true messiah will sit "on the throne of David" in the Millennial Kingdom (e.g. 2 Samuel 7:10-13, Ezekiel 37:24-25, Luke 1:32-33.)
That still future event is the second coming of Jesus Christ, but it is preceded by the seven-year reign of the Antichrist (whose identity as Antichrist is hidden for the first 3 ½ years).
Preceding David in Bible history as the first transitional monarch of the new order was King Saul – a Benjamite, not an ethnic Judean; an initially competent King who descended into mental illness under the dominion of a familiar spirit whose chief mission was to destroy David. The similarity to the Biden/Trump relationship is remarkable. (Even more so if one contemplates Barack Obama in the role of the familiar spirit). Additionally, the assassination attempt on President Trump's life has its parallel in 1 Samuel 10:6-11.
"And it came to pass as they came when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine [Goliath], that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of music. And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul, hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousand. And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousand, and to me, they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom? And Saul eyed David from that day and forward. And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied amid the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand. And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice."
Trump's "Goliath" is the deep-state lawfare campaign exemplified by special prosecutor Jack Smith whom Trump conquered immediately before the Butler PA rally, clearing his path to the presidency as the post-debate Biden-demeaning media (the minstrel women) began finally admitting Trump was the far stronger candidate. The javelin was the would-be assassin's bullet, which barely nicked him. It's not a perfect analogy, but the key elements align.
Notably, David escaped Saul's javelin twice, the second time recorded in 1 Samuel 19, so we may see another failed attempt on Trump in the weeks or months ahead if my analogy holds tightly. Further, the biblical narrative sees Saul dead before David attains the throne, which may be fulfilled in my highly speculative observation/prediction that the elites' best-case scenario for keeping Trump out of the presidency is for Biden to die in time to be replaced by Michelle Obama as Barack's new and improved Avatar. As I said, this add-on is highly speculative but plausible – and not fatal to the core comparison is wrong.
What does this all mean if Trump's second term fulfills the role of David in the biblical model? From the Jewish perspective, he could very well be perceived as the Messiah whom they eagerly await in Israel with virtually all pre-conditions having been met to receive him – including the elusive "red heifer."
I can easily see Trump endorsing the building of the third temple just as he bucked world opinion in moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem (earning the Cyrus comparison). And I can easily see that coming as a part of a global peace deal to end WWIII, which start seems ever more likely as the elites' last geopolitical move to try to keep Trump out of the White House. NATO/Ukraine provocations aimed at triggering an "intervention"-justifying Russian escalation are increasing dramatically. See this link, for example, which source admittedly has a pro-Russian bias but is usually careful and well-reasoned in his analysis and documentation. Importantly, this is also the official MAGA viewpoint.
Christian perspectives are divided about the end times, so in the millennial view of Roman Catholicism (in which the Millennial Kingdom of Christ is purely symbolic of the RCC itself) and the post-millennial view of much of the Protestant Reform movement (in which the millennium ended a thousand years after the ascension of Christ – putting the burden on the church to bring about its promised peace and harmony) there is no inherent conflict in seeing Trump as a human "savior" figure, so they might go along with it.
But to the futurists like myself who take the millennial prophecies in the Bible literally, the timeline of a Trump "salvation" of Israel, America and the world from the iron grip of evil globalist forces (the "principalities and powers") seems disturbingly to coincide with the emerging pre-MK Antichrist Kingdom – a conclusion I shrink from fully adopting personally despite the "math" I've outlined above because its implications are just too horrible to contemplate – and because I could be wrong on any or all of it.
I'm therefore going to vote for Trump and support him vigorously – while keeping a wary eye on his actions relative to the ticking prophetic clock of judgment. But I'm also going to watch for a possible near-term usurpation of Trump by my actual candidate for Antichrist, Obama, who has yet to make his big move in the electoral drama unfolding before us.

'They fear that if Donald Trump wins, he will follow through on a promise to close the border to asylum-seekers'
There have been new reports of a large migrant caravan heading toward the United States, after illegal migrants looking to cross the Southern Border in Texas, fear former President Donald Trump may take the win in the 2024 presidential election.
Multiple reports have stated the caravan has over 3,000 migrants, who are currently making their way through southern Mexico.
The Associated Press reports the caravan has people from more than a dozen countries, including Cuba, El Salvador, and Guatemala.
"Some of the members of the group said they hoped to make it to the U.S. border before elections are held in November because they fear that if Donald Trump wins, he will follow through on a promise to close the border to asylum-seekers,"
Migrants told the AP they were concerned about the Trump administration nixing an app migrants use to enter the U.S. called CBP One. The app allows asylum-seekers to enter America legally by allowing them to make their cases to U.S. officials upon arrival. The app, however, only works close to the U.S. border.
Vice President Kamala Harris is partly responsible for the crisis at the southern border after she was tasked with leading the Biden administration to find solutions to the influx that began in early 2021.
Joe Biden told migrants to "surge the border" during the Democratic debates ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
In January, the U.S. House Oversight Committee held a hearing on the Biden administration incentivizing illegal immigration involving children.
Joseph Edlow, founder of the Edlow Group, told the committee that immigration laws currently have too many loopholes, and encourage illegal migrants to cross the border with a child because they are almost guaranteed to be granted asylum, whether or not the child belongs to them.
"If you bring a child, you're going to be able to claim asylum, whereas you wouldn't if you didn't have a child. So it's gonna encourage more illegal immigration, more families coming across," Edlow told the committee.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump stressed at last week's Republican National Convention that he will be stopping illegal migration, calling it an "invasion."
"No hope or dream we have for America can succeed unless we stop the illegal immigrant invasion. The worst that's ever been seen anywhere in the world," Trump said during his speech at the RNC, adding third-world nations would fight with "sticks and stones" to stop this happening in their own countries.

No sooner had a social media statement appeared online in which Joe Biden said he was bowing out of the 2024 race for the Democrat party nomination for president for the "good" of his party and country than questions were raised.
Why was it posted on social media without a White House news conference, or press release?
Why was there no official presidential seal on the document?
Online was the question, 'Who signed Biden's letter?" with images from five recent presidential orders, and the differing signature from his weekend post.
"This is kind of important . Five identical signatures appear to be with an auto-pen (a real thing Presidents use) and the one on the resignation letter differs," explained Naomi Wolf, who describes herself online as, "Journalist. DPhil, Oxford, Poetry. CEO, http://DailyClout.io. Deplatformed 8 times; still right. Facing the Beast: Courage, Faith and Resistance in a New Dark Age."
Pershing Square CEO Bill Ackman pointed out, "One would think that a letter to the American people from the president announcing his decision to step aside would not be signed using a digital signature and would be accompanied by a photo op and a scheduled conference in the morning that followed. Instead we have a digitally signed letter released on the president's @X account, an account we know that is run by a staffer, no photo, and no live scheduled address to the American people. If I were China, I would invade Taiwan tomorrow."
A report at the Gateway Pundit speculated, "Did we just witness a coup?"
The report pointed out the statement was not on official letterhead.
"Shortly after Biden's announcement letter was released, several journalists noticed Biden's signature in his announcement letter did not match Biden's official signature," the report said.

JERUSALEM – Israel Air Force jets pounded the Houthi-controlled port of Al-Hudaydah Saturday – in a mission dubbed "Outstretched Arm" – in retaliation for both the drone strike Friday leaving one 50-year-old Israeli man dead and several wounded after it struck a Tel Aviv apartment building, and for the more than 200 other projectiles launched at the Jewish state since October.
The Israeli military said: "Fighter jets struck military targets of the Houthi terror regime in the area of the Al-Hudaydah Port in Yemen, in response to the hundreds of attacks carried out against the State of Israel in recent months."
More than 20 Israeli warplanes, including F-15s and F35s, as well as aerial refueling tankers took part in the strike.
The attack destroyed a massive Houthi weapons depot attached to oil storage facilities, the power station for the city, and numerous other military targets, which led to the port being shut down and a complete loss of power in Al Hudaydah. The port is seen as a critical element of the Houthi infrastructure, as it is the main locus of the transfer of weapons from Iran to Yemen.
Israel has absorbed the launching of hundreds of projectiles – including cruise missiles shot at its own Eilat port – almost all of which have been knocked out of the sky, but Friday's fatality in Tel Aviv was the final straw.
Reports suggest Israeli decision-makers at the highest political levels – i.e. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant very much included – had drawn up a list of high-value targets in Yemen months ago if the green light to an attack such as this were granted.
On Saturday, Gallant, alongside IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and other senior defense officials, as well as Netanyahu who is due to address Congress this week, authorized the daylight attack.
Commentators and analysts noted the approximately 2,500-mile round trip to Yemen – hence the need for refueling aircraft – and have extrapolated the strike also as a warning to Tehran. The distance from Israel to Iran is approximately two-thirds of the distance from Israel to Yemen.
Local reports also said the Israeli aircraft did not simply attack from a distance, but were "low and loud" in the skies above Yemen. That too was meant as a warning about how close the planes could come to their targets, seemingly unmolested.
Indeed, Gallant released a statement from the defense ministry headquarters, which laid out in plain language the reason for Israel's response.
"The fire … currently burning in Yemen is seen across the Middle East. The blood of Israeli citizens has a price. This has been made clear in Lebanon, in Gaza, in Yemen, and in other places — if they dare to attack us, the result will be identical," he warned.
It is thought the choice of these targets was more than merely practical – it was assumed the fires would burn for days providing a very visible reminder of the costs of taking Israeli lives.
Netanyahu took to X to remind Israel's enemies it "would act against those who attack us."
"And to Israel's enemies, I have a simple message: Do not doubt Israel's determination to defend itself on every front. All those who seek to harm us will pay a very heavy price for their aggression."
Israel made a point of carrying out the attack alone – without any U.S. involvement – although Washington was informed – as were other Middle Eastern partners – of the strike.
IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said the strikes were not only about Israel's defense but also because the Houthis have "targeted other countries in the Middle East, the United States, and other countries around the world with their attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea."
The Houthi-run health ministry said the strike caused casualties.
An official in the Iran-backed group said the attack would be met with "escalation," according to the Times of Israel.
"The Zionist entity will pay the price for targeting civilian facilities, and we will meet escalation with escalation," Houthi politburo member Mohammed al-Bukhaiti said in a post on social media.
On Sunday, Israel's Arrow 3 defense system downed a ballistic missile – outside of Israeli airspace – which the Iranian-backed Houthis launched. Sirens sounded in Israel's southernmost city Eilat – a favorite Houthi target – as a precautionary measure for fear of falling shrapnel. The IDF acknowledged it had been preparing for retaliatory strikes following its targeting of the Al-Hudaydah port.

With Joe Biden dropping out of the 2024 presidential hunt on Sunday, former President Donald Trump is now weighing in with his own reaction.
"Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – And never was!" Trump said on Truth Social.
"He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement.
"All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn't capable of being President, and he wasn't – And now, look what he's done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists.
"We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
In a separate message, Trump indicated:
"Crooked Joe just got knocked out, so now I'll have to do it a FOURTH TIME!!!"

One of the most famous scenes in cinematic history is being resurrected with a new face attached, that of former President Donald Trump in the wake of his attempted assassination on July 13.
The movie is 1999's classic science-fiction thriller "The Matrix," and the scene reimagined using artificial intelligence is where Neo, the hero of the story originally portrayed by Keanu Reeves, is able to stop bullets fired at him in mid-air as he realizes he is "The One."
Now in the new version, it's Donald Trump appearing as the Chosen One, able to stop bullets fired by evil "agents" made to look like Joe Biden, Barack Obama and even Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
The video shows Trump then proceeding to effortlessly fight and defeat Joe Biden, who eventually explodes into smithereens.
Elon Musk calls the new version: "Best AI video to date!"
Benny Johnson, a well-known video maker online, says: "This is the greatest video on the internet right now now. Holy smokes."
The real Mark Zuckerberg actually had some moving personal comments about the attempt on Trump's life, as he said: "Seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag its one of the most badass things I've ever seen in my life."
Watch the original clip from "The Matrix" where Neo stops bullets.

A prominent legal team has announced that further litigation will not be needed now that a Wisconsin school district has agreed to end its racist component of a scholarship program.
It is the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty that said it was notified by the School District of Beloit that it will make changes in its "Grow Your Own Multicultural Teacher Scholarship Program."
It previously had a "racial eligibility criterion."
But the district said it now is holding off on accepting new applications until the program "has been accordingly revised and published."
Cara Tolliver, lawyer for the organization, said, "We will continue to seek out and litigate discriminatory programs that undermine human dignity and violate the Constitution. The district made the right decision in repealing the racial eligibility requirement for its GYO program — which was based on nothing more than a constitutionally-forbidden desire to match and balance students and staff according to their skin pigmentation."
She said, "We hope to see the district's new GYO program open soon and serving as many students and staff as possible."
The district's practice had been to award race-based scholarships of up to $20,000 to some minority students and staff who wanted to be teachers.
"According to numerous documents and materials available on the district's website, the district also solicited funding from its employees and board members through direct payroll deductions and other available options and offered incentives for paid-time-off to staff members who donate to the GYO fund," WILL reported.
But such race-based schemes have been rejected by the Supreme Court.
The legal team earlier had brought the problem to the school district's attention, explaining that it needed to halt "all discriminatory programs."
Based on complaints about the district's agenda, WILL had warned that it could not meet constitutional minimums for fairness should it continue to deselect people based on their race.
In fact, the legal team warned the school's program violated the U.S. Constitution as well as Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Tolliver said when the warning was issued that residents of the district should demand better from their school leaders.
District officials had set it up with their goal in mind of having teachers who look like students.
But given special privileges were "Black/African American," "Native American/Alaskan," "Asian," and "Hispanic/Latinx" program participants.
Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID, prompting him to pause campaigning even as he faces mounting pressure from his party to end his re-election bid.
The COVID news has put Biden's health under closer scrutiny when his age and fitness for office are already under a microscope.
Biden abruptly canceled an event in Las Vegas on Wednesday with UnidosUS, a Hispanic rights group.
“I was just on the phone with President Biden, and he shared his deep disappointment at not being able to join us this afternoon," UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguía told the crowd.
The White House said Biden is having "mild" symptoms and he would continue to perform the "full duties of the office while in isolation.”
Ironically, the announcement came just hours after Biden said he would consider forgoing re-election if he were diagnosed with a medical condition.
The pressure for Biden to step down exploded after his disastrous debate against Donald Trump on June 27.
Democrats fear that if Biden does not quit, he will hand over the presidency to Trump and cost Democrats power in Congress.
After a brief respite following Trump's attempted assassination, Democrats returned to pressuring Biden in earnest this week.
Longtime allies of Biden, including Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-Ny.), have nudged Biden to reconsider his shaky re-election bid, and Barack Obama has lost all confidence in his viability as a candidate.
NBC reported Friday that members of Biden's family - after weeks of defiance - have begun discussing the possible end of his re-election bid, but Biden and his inner circle are feeling betrayed by Democrats whom Biden has long considered close allies.
"There was a much more dignified way to do this if this is what they wanted,” one Biden insider told NBC. “This is no way to treat a public servant who has done a lot for this country.”
Despite the rampant speculation, Biden remains publicly committed to seeking a second term, saying he will hit the campaign trail again next week.
Time is of the essence. The party's convention is next month, and Democrats are forging ahead with plans to nominate Biden through a virtual roll call in early August.

Imagine for a moment that you knew everything about everyone. I'm not so sure that I would like to be omniscient if I could be. I would hate to know what people think of me sometimes. But if you knew what the future would be – and if you were a betting person – I'm sure you would bet on a winner, not a loser.
God, being omniscient, chose us. Before our parents were born before their parents were born, and before our first parents ever were on planet Earth, God Almighty, in the councils of eternity, chose us to be his children.
But why? What merit or quality did God see in us that caused him to choose us?
I hope the answer doesn't disappoint you. God's choice is not based on anything that you or I did. You don't deserve it. I don't deserve it. And I think the reason God chose us is the same reason he chose the nation Israel.
He said to the Israelites, "The Lord did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! Rather, it was simply that the Lord loves you, and he was keeping the oath he had sworn to your ancestors" (Deuteronomy 7:7–8 NLT).
Why did God choose us? Because he loves us. That's mind-bending when you stop and think about the fact that God knows all things.
So, do we have any influence as to who gets chosen?
The greatest theological minds have debated this for centuries, and there are good people on both sides of this theological conversation. But I'm not going to worry about who the so-called elect are. Rather, I'm going to preach the Gospel. And I believe the ones whom God has chosen will believe.
If you want to know whether you're one of the chosen ones, then believe in Jesus Christ, and you will confirm it.
The Bible tells us, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13 NLT), and "Let anyone who hears this say, 'Come.' Let anyone thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life" (Revelation 22:17 NLT).
The apostle Paul spoke of how much he cared about his fellow Jews and his desire for them would believe in Jesus. He wrote, "My heart is filled with bitter sorrow and unending grief for my people, my Jewish brothers and sisters. I would be willing to be forever cursed – cut off from Christ! – if that would save them" (Romans 9:2–3 NLT).
Paul was effectively saying that he'd be willing to go to Hell if they could go to Heaven. I'm so glad that we don't have to trade our salvation for the salvation of someone else. Salvation already has been purchased for everyone who asks Jesus Christ to forgive their sins and come into their lives.
No matter who they are, everyone needs to hear the Gospel. Of course, people think that down-and-outers need Jesus, and they do. Thank God that we are never so down or so out that he won't reach out and save us. But the up-and-outers need Jesus, too.
What's more, religious people need the Gospel as much as nonbelievers do. Some people think that because they were raised in a Christian home, they're Christians by default. No, they simply were raised in a Christian home. Some of the worst sinners are raised in Christian homes. That's because they rebel against it. On the other hand, some of the greatest saints come from Christian homes as well. It depends on the person.
We love to blame our parents for what's wrong in our lives. But we do have a say-so about the course we take in life, regardless of how we were raised or not raised. We need to have our faith. We can't live off the faith of our parents or the faith of anyone else. We need our relationship with Jesus Christ.
One of the easiest places to get a heart that is hardened toward the Gospel is in church. The same sun that softens the wax hardens the clay. And as we hear the truth of the Gospel, we decide whether we will be responsive or resistant to it.
Every time we hear the Gospel and don't respond to it, our hearts can get a little harder. In a sense, we can develop an immunity to the Gospel. Don't let that happen, because everything you're looking for is available to you in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
It's the missing piece that people are searching for in life.
Addressing believers, the writer of Hebrews said, "Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. You must warn each other every day, while it is still 'today,' so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God" (Hebrews 3:12–13 NLT).
That's why every generation needs to hear the Gospel. I think the challenges and pressures young people face today are, in many ways, unprecedented. And I think a lot of that has to do with social media.
I was an early adopter of smartphones, but I believe that in many ways, they are ruining our lives and having a detrimental effect on young people. We've never been more connected yet disconnected at the same time.
Experts have described Generation Z, those born from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, as the loneliest generation. They communicate through texting more than through face-to-face conversations. Perhaps that's one reason anxiety and depression are so high among members of that generation.
The psalmist David wrote, "Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power" (Psalm 145:4 NLT).
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The answer is Jesus – for every generation.

JERUSALEM – Loud explosions were heard in downtown Tel Aviv – not far from the U.S. consulate – at 3:12 a.m. local time Friday, as an explosive-laden UAV infiltrated Israeli airspace undetected and impacted an apartment building.
Emergency services immediately swarmed the area, and one man in his fifties was found dead with shrapnel wounds over his body in a separate apartment building close to the explosion's locus. Israeli media reported up to 10 other people with minor wounds were treated in emergency rooms.
Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen claimed responsibility for the attack, although an initial Israel Air Force (IAF) investigation has not determined the exact source of the projectile. While it has been assessed the UAV was likely launched from the south – which means Yemen could have been its point of origin – it has not ruled out other sites such as Iraq or Syria. The IDF revealed it tracked the UAV's flight, but human error was responsible for the failure to trigger a warning. Meanwhile, the IAF increased its patrols over the area for fear subsequent attacks could be imminent.
Tel Aviv's long-serving Mayor Ron Huldai posted on X: "The Municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo is on heightened alert in light of the severe UAV incident tonight, in which one person was killed and others were injured. The war is still here, and it is hard and painful. The municipal forces arrived at the spot quickly and dealt with the incident, and we are prepared for developments, if any. I call on the public to obey gov't instructions."
The Yemeni Army declared the "occupied Yafa area [Tel Aviv] an unsafe zone," and that it would be a "primary target within our weapons range."
This event is concerning on several levels. Although it is unknown if the U.S. consulate in Tel Aviv was the intended target, the drone impacted very near to the building. Is this a sign the Houthis are challenging both Israeli and U.S. power, sensing a certain weakness and fragility, which each of the governments may have projected?
From a deterrence point of view, the fact Israel's vaunted aerial defense system did not alert Tel Aviv's residents to the incoming projectile would have been seen and noted by Iran's other proxies in the region – in particular Hezbollah. There are already deep concerns in the country that if the Shi'ite group based in Lebanon were to release thousands of missiles, it would overwhelm Israel's air defenses and lead to the loss of life of potentially tens of thousands of people. Serious analysts and commentators have frequently warned – and for some time – that a war with Hezbollah will be hugely costly in terms of damage to the civilian and military infrastructure – and human lives.
On Thursday, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) acknowledged the downing of both missiles and UAVs fired from Houth-controlled areas of Yemen, which "presented an imminent threat to U.S., coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region." The IAF said it had downed another drone overnight – outside of Israeli airspace – reportedly fired from an "eastern direction" thought to be Iraq.
