Though liberals across the country are doing their best to deny it, Tuesday's election represented to many a political shift the likes of which the United States has not seen in decades.
One prominent voice who has not only acknowledged the nation's realignment but seemingly also welcomed it is filmmaker and former teen star Justine Bateman, who declared, as Breitbart reports, that the “Woke Party” has earned its place in the “American political graveyard.”
Refreshing take from unexpected source
Considering her noteworthy Hollywood pedigree, which took root in the 1980s with her role in the hit series Family Ties, Bateman's recent declarations on the state of American politics may have come as a surprise to many.
However, it was not long after Donald Trump's landslide election win that Bateman began to reveal her thoughts on the political climate that prevailed during the Biden-Harris administration.
“Decompressing from walking on eggshells for the past four years,” Bateman wrote on X, adding that the last four years were, to her, “an almost intolerable period” in which “any questioning, any opinions, any likes or dislikes were held up to a very limited list of 'permitted positions' in order to assess acceptability.”
Bateman went on, “Complete intolerance became almost a religion and one's professional and social life was threatened almost constantly. Those that spoke otherwise were ruined as a warning to others."
“When you starve a society of those called to be independent thinkers and cultural and intellectual innovators, you rob that society of any forward movement,” she observed, further declaring, “I am neither one extreme or the other, but am one of the millions of people who believe in common sense, and that everyone should be free to live their lives however they want, unless that freedom interferes with someone else's freedom to live their own life. That's it.”
“It's over”
A day later, Bateman returned to X to weigh in on what she hopes will be the far-reaching impact of Tuesday's election.
“In 2020, the Democratic Party was overthrown by the Woke Party. And the Woke Party has run the country for the past four years. It produced negative results” she noted.
In an expression of relief, Bateman went on, “That experiment is over. The Woke Party can take its place in the American Political graveyard with the Whigs and the Federalists.”
Adding a satirical twist to her biting critique of the left's sway in recent years, Bateman undertook a series of online reviews of social media meltdowns posted by supporters of Kamala Harris in the wake of her defeat.
Picking apart the video posts from a writing and filmmaking standpoint, Bateman's approach offered a jocular yet poignant commentary on the hyperbolic rhetoric that flowed in the wake of Trump's victory.
No more nonsense
Bateman also took a moment to respond to recent comments from California Gov. Gavin Newsom calling for a special legislative session designed to “Trump-proof” the Golden State.
“Dude, look at the election results from 5 days ago, federal and local, CA is not interested in any more of your nonsense,” Bateman said, and it seems clear that large swaths of America emphatically agree.
Amid preparations for a potential second term, Donald Trump is considering US Representative Mike Rogers for Secretary of Defense, Fox News reported.
House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers is a key contender for the Defense Secretary position in the anticipated Trump administration. As the Republicans secured major victories in recent elections, securing the Senate and the White House, they became optimistic about retaining control of Congress. This political backdrop sets the stage for potential cabinet appointments under Trump.
New Leadership Roles Discussed for Trump's Second Term
Mike Rogers, representing Alabama, has already been approached by Trump's transition team regarding the defense position. Rogers, who ran unopposed, was re-elected to a third term last Tuesday.
Rogers is not the only name being considered for this crucial role. Rep. Mike Waltz from Florida, also a member of the House Armed Services Committee, is another significant candidate. Waltz, a retired Green Beret and former advisor to past defense secretaries brings a wealth of experience in military and defense affairs.
Profiles of Potential Candidates for Secretary of Defense
Waltz's extensive background includes his role as CEO of Metis Solutions, his advisory positions under defense secretaries like Robert Gates and Donald Rumsfeld, and his current memberships in the Armed Services and Intelligence committees.
Republicans are confident about maintaining a majority in the House, a sentiment bolstered by recent electoral gains. This majority is crucial for advancing Trump’s agenda swiftly, especially with appointments and policy implementations.
Strategic Moves in the Trump Administration
The process of replacing a House member typically spans several weeks, indicating that any moves involving Rogers or Waltz would require careful timing and consideration by Republican leaders.
Meanwhile, Trump's campaign manager, Susie Wiles, has been announced as the incoming White House chief of staff, suggesting a strategic alignment within Trump’s team as they prepare for the next administration.
Other discussions for high-profile roles include House GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik, who is being considered for the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
Anticipation for Swift Policy Advancements
The eagerness of Republican leaders to utilize their congressional majorities highlights their intent to support Trump's policy initiatives without delay. The strategic placement of key figures in significant roles is part of this broader effort to solidify Trump’s second-term agenda.
The prospective appointment of Mike Rogers as Secretary of Defense would not only shape the U.S. military’s future but also influence international defense policies significantly.
As the transition team continues its deliberations, the political landscape is closely watching to see how these potential appointments might unfold, marking a pivotal moment in U.S. defense leadership.
The mainstream media is so in the tank for the left that even some high-profile leftists are saying it out loud.
That was evidenced recently by liberal late-night host Bill Maher who, according to Breitbart, admitted out loud that most major newsrooms simply won't allow any guests that do not agree with them politically.
There have been countless examples of newsroom bias against those who support President-elect Donald Trump. It's played out in front of our faces for years.
Maher made a recent example out of "Saturday Night Live," arguing that the show's cast members are primarily supporters of Vice President Kamala Harris.
What did he say?
Maher pointed out that if any of SNL's cast member were supporters of President Trump, they likely wouldn't dare say it out loud.
His point was that the media is so biased and in the tank for one side these days that it has become dangerous.
“I’m sure every single member of the ‘Saturday Night Live’ cast was a Harris supporter. But what if one of them wasn’t? What if one of those cast members was for Trump, would they have felt comfortable saying so? I really don’t think so. They would’ve had to keep it to themselves. That’s not a good place for us to be. … And that happens even more on the left," Maher said.
He made several more examples of major media outlets and institutions where it seems as if it's for liberals only.
He added, "It’s not just the ‘Saturday Night Live’ cast that all is one thing. The guy who left NPR, remember, he said it was like 87 of 88 people there were on the exact same page. Twitter before Elon took over — now, it’s obviously the reverse — but that was like 99% Democrat."
"You can’t have the — Harvard. You can’t have all these places, the ‘newsrooms’ in America, where nobody is allowed who doesn’t think exactly like you, just cleaving to the one true opinion.”
Things are changing
The fact that most establishment media newsrooms are heavily biased toward the left is no surprise, but the landscape of how consumers get their news has also changed.
X, formerly Twitter, is now the most sough-after source for news, especially breaking news, and since Elon Musk's takeover, free speech has been allowed back on the platform.
Many can argue that Musk's acquisition of the platform was instrumental in Donald Trump winning the election, as the old Twitter never would have allowed it.
As long as free speech Americans have X, the liberals and progressives can have the rest.
Trump Derangement Syndrome is reaching its highest peak in years, especially in the wake of President-elect Trump's amazing victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.
But even before Trump was once again elected to the White House, TDS was alive and well within the ranks of the federal government, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FDA).
According to Breitbart, a bombshell report emerged this week that revealed a FEMA official reportedly told relief workers in hurricane-stricken areas to skip homes that appeared to support Trump.
Government employee whistleblowers informed The Daily Wire that a top official gave the orders, which resulted in several Trump-supporting homes being skipped in Florida.
What's going on?
According to the report, Marn’i Washington, a FEMA supervisor, reportedly instructed volunteers “verbally and in a group chat,” to “avoid homes advertising Trump," in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton.
That resulted in "at least 20 homes" with Trump flags or signs being passed over for federal relief help, a sickening thought, to say the least.
The report noted:
The government employees told The Daily Wire that at least 20 homes with Trump signs or flags were skipped from the end of October and into November due to the guidance, meaning they were not given the opportunity to qualify for FEMA assistance. Images shared with The Daily Wire show that houses were skipped over by the workers, who wrote in the government system messages such as: “Trump sign no entry per leadership.”
The employees added that they were instructed to "discriminate against people" in the wake of the hurricane due to staff shortages.
"I know they’re short-staffed, I thought we could go help and make a difference,” the government employee told the outlet.
“When we got there we were told to discriminate against people. It’s almost unbelievable to think that somebody in the federal government would think that’s okay.”
Fending for themselves
The story isn't difficult to believe, especially since many in the hurricane-affected areas, which happen to be red, politically speaking, were essentially left to fend for themselves.
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Haris were heavily criticized for being conveniently slow to respond.
If the reports are true, the FEMA supervisor responsible should be terminated, immediately.
Vice President Kamala Harris was soundly and devastatingly beaten on Election Day by President-elect Donald Trump, who can now claim he emerged with a landslide victory over his opponent.
In the days following the crushing loss, Democrats have grappled, hilariously, with why and how they could have possibly lost to Trump, who they claim is the worst possible thing that could happen to America.
In a lengthy piece published by The Guardian, one of its writers, clearly stricken by deep Trump Derangement Syndrome, warned the Democratic Party that former President Barack Obama and the old ways of the party have to go.
The piece was titled, "The long Obama era is over."
What's going on?
The piece attempted to explain, to some degree why Democrats were wiped out this election, with plenty of excuses and blame to go around.
At one point, the columnist wrote, "The long Obama era is over. The familiar homilies – about how there are no red states or blue states and Americans share a set of common values and working institutions novelly and externally threatened by agents of chaos like Trump – never described political reality."
They added, "They now no longer work reliably even as political messaging. The hunt should be on for alternatives.
The columnist also wrote that the Democratic Party is still in a "stunned silence" while it processes the loss -- a loss that tens of millions of Americans and a wide swath of political analysts and media types saw coming a mile away.
They just don't care to admit how easy it was to predict a Trump win. Most Americans who aren't completely whacky simply wanted a shot at affordable groceries, gas, and utility bills.
Lower interest rates would be nice, too. Whether it was Trump or virtually any other decently popular Republican, Harris, who was at least partially responsible for what's happened the past four years, would have probably lost to them.
Barack Obama supporters convert
According to Newsweek, Trump was able to gain support from new groups that Republicans used to not have, including this time around, people who once voted for Obama.
The outlet noted:
A surprising shift in American voting patterns has emerged as a significant number of low income non-college educated voters, who traditionally support Democrats, are now supporting Donald Trump.
Again, politics comes second to most reasonable Americans who simply want better economic circumstances for themselves and their children.
It's not difficult to understand why Harris lost, and why Trump won, so bigly.

A joint statement signed by multiple church organizations, including the Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Baptist Church Norway, the Pentecostal movement there, and the Norwegian Roman Catholic Bishops' Council is warning the Norwegian government against imposing LGBT indoctrination.
It is the "Joint Christian Declaration on 'Diversity of Gender and Sexuality'" that warns of trying to impose leftist ideologies.
"We hold that public authorities and governmental bodies exceed their mandate and power by attempting to pressure citizens and organizations to adapt to 'queer theory' on gender, sexuality, and marriage. Such activism on the part of government violates religious freedom and freedom of conscience, as well as the rights of parents," explains the statement adopted by the church groups.
The Christian Institute explains that the target of the statement is the government's "Action Plan on Gender and Sexual Diversity."
The feds in Norway are scheming to impose "regional courses and one-day-events on LGBT+."
A total of 47 denominations and organizations have joined the protest.
The document explains, "We stand up for a democratic, pluralistic, and open-minded society where there is space for diversity of beliefs characterized by mutual respect. Freedom of expression and conscience, as well as religious freedom, are for us central and essential values."
The statement continues, "The notion that gender is a subjective category and that sexual and gender identity can be freely chosen based on feelings or preference, irrespective of biological sex, is based on ideology. It has no biological or scientific foundation."
Transgenderism, which has been ardently promoted by the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris administration in Washington, doesn't happen scientifically, as the fact of being male or female is embedded in the human body down to the DNA level.
The church groups warned Norwegian government officials such ideology is "incompatible with our faith, thought, and worldview," and can lead "to confusion, insecurity, and destructive life choices for many children and young people."
Jose Luis Bazan of the Commission of the Bishops' Conferences of the European Union said such actions have come to be known as "polite persecution," referring to governments' "compelling policies and legislation."
The church's statement recalls a number of biblical teachings, that "God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. Ha has created human beings male and female" and that "All people are created in the image of God. All are deeply loved by Him, have the same inherent human dignity, and are equally precious."
Marriage, too "is a divine institution inscribed in natural law. Marriage unites one man and one woman. Founded by God, confirmed by Christ and the Apostles, this institution of marriage has been recognized by the Christian church throughout the centuries."
It recognizes, "Marriage between one man and one woman constitutes the Biblical framework for sexual relationships. Other forms of sexual relationships represent a 'diversity' at odds with the Bible's theology of creation and with Jesus's ethical teaching, even when these relationships are marked by long-lasting fidelity."
It states bluntly, "There are only two biological sexes: female and male. The sex of each individual is determined at conception." Further, "It is immensely problematic to teach children and young people that there are 'boys, girls, and other genders" that there exists an 'interior gender'; that they may happen to have been 'born in the wrong body'; and that gender is 'fluid'. This manner of influence may lead to confusion, insecurity, and destructive life choices for many children and young people."

The Joe Biden-Kamala Harris agenda to have a wide-open southern border and allow millions of illegal aliens into the United States offers a threat to America's jobs, schools, cities and towns, and even elections and residents.
Also, the nation's health.
"Besides compromising the safety of Americans by releasing over half a million illegal immigrants with criminal records in communities throughout the United States, the Biden administration has ignited yet another crisis by failing to properly screen migrants for contagious diseases," according to a report from Judicial Watch.
The organization long has documented the health threats from illegals, including that unaccompanied alien children fueled a respiratory virus epidemic that struck American kids across the country and killed at least nine.
At that time, reports confirmed those children were bringing in diseases including swine flu, dengue fever, tuberculosis, and Ebola.
"That was over a decade ago under Obama's weak border policies and, predictably, the problem has worsened significantly during the unprecedented illegal immigration crisis that has gripped the nation under Biden and his laughable border czar, Kamala Harris," the organization reported.
"Besides the detrimental impact on national security, civilian safety, and taxpayer-funded programs (among others), mass migration is compromising health."
Tuberculosis, the deadly infectious disease that attacks the lungs and was once considered to be eradicated in the U.S., is on the rise now, the organization reported.
It said the Federation for American Immigration Reform has confirmed that the threat again is on the rise in the U.S.
"One key factor of the resurgence of TB in the U.S. is open borders and mass immigration," the organization revealed. "The massive, unregulated influx of migrants from countries with higher TB rates than the United States has helped spread the disease. Even legal immigrants and refugees—who are required to undergo medical screenings before arriving in the United States—may have latent TB which then progresses to active TB and becomes transmissible once inside the United States."
Cases of TB in the U.S. were up 34% from 2020 to 2023, the report said.
Those cases now are higher than they were before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, it reported.
"Nationally, 76% of TB cases in 2023 occurred in foreign-born patients and counties, states as well as metropolitan areas with high foreign-born populations have larger rates of TB than those with lower foreign-born populations."
Cited were inadequacies in the government's screening for TB, as in some cases there aren't any.
By now, some regions have TV rates "exceeding rates in high-risk countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Lebanon," the report said.
The costs of treating a standard infection run about $20,000, but if it's a drug-resistant strain that can rocket to $500,000.
The National Institutes of Health confirmed, "Immigration is an important factor in TB epidemiology, where migrants may originate from countries with substantially higher TB burden."

A new video has appeared online featuring President-elect Donald Trump and his new plan to attack and end Washington "corruption" by dismantling the "Deep State."
Primary is his intent to reissue his executive order from 2020 that provides presidential authority "to remove government employees" that actually are "rogue bureaucrats."
"I will wield that power very aggressively," he warns.
Second on his to-do list of 10 items is to "overhaul" the intelligence and national security industry.
"We will clean out all of the corrupt actors in our national security and intelligence apparatus," he said, as those organizations now appear to be targeting Christians, conservatives, and other perceived enemies.
A report at Conservative Brief noted his plan includes executive orders, reforms, and even structural changes inside government agency operations.
It emphasizes openness and responsibility.
Under the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris administration, there were numerous instances of government actions apparently being weaponized against critics of the leftist agenda those two pushed onto Americans.
Especially Trump, who was targeted multiple times by court cases in which the facts were so manipulated that the weaponization appeared obvious, such as charges against him for his handling of government documents after his first presidency.
Joe Biden had, in fact, mishandled boxes and boxes of government documents from his time as senator and vice president, yet no charges were brought against him.
Further, part of the program was a state case against him over his business operations. A leftist judge ruled he was guilty of fraud and announced a fine of nearly half a billion dollars – for actions that the supposed "victims" said in court they lost no money, and in fact, would be happy to do business with Trump again.
Business experts told the court that Trump's dealings were standard in the industry – to no avail.
Trump also cited the need to reform the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act courts, which allow spying on Americans.
The problem, he said, is that they are "so corrupt that the judges seem to not care when they are lied to in warrant applications."
Additionally, he intends there to be a "Truth and Reconciliation Commission" to crack down on hidden wrongdoing by government organizations.
There also are plans to address government leaks, set up independent audits, move government jobs away from Washington, close the "revolving door" between those taking government jobs and then taking jobs in private sectors they regulated, and term limits for Congress.
A federal judge appointed by President-elect Donald Trump has shut down a Joe Biden "parole" program that effectively granted amnesty to illegal immigrants married to U.S. citizens.
The ruling is another blow to a liberal immigration agenda that helped to seal Kamala Harris' landslide election loss to Trump.
The policy would have placed up to 500,000 non-citizens on a fast-track to citizenship, along with 50,000 stepchildren.
Biden struck down
U.S. District Judge Campbell Barker said Thursday that Biden's program stretched his lawful authority "past its breaking point.”
“The Rule exceeds statutory authority and is not in accordance with law," the judge wrote.
Judge Barker found that Biden circumvented the law, which allows parole only in exceptional circumstances for newcomers at the border. Biden instead sought to arbitrarily shield hundreds of thousands of migrants who have been living in the country for 10 years.
The administration argued the policy would allow illegal immigrants married to Americans to complete the normal process of getting citizenship without leaving the United States and putting themselves at risk of being denied re-entry.
The rule had already been on pause, but the judge effectively threw it out. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), who led the challenge to the program, issued a statement on the ruling.
“Once again we have stopped the Biden-Harris administration’s radical attempts to destroy America’s borders and undermine the rule of law,” he said. “I look forward to the day when the federal government starts following the law again.”
End of open borders!
The judge's ruling is likely the final say on the program, with President-elect Trump set to take the oath of office in January. While Biden could appeal, Trump's Justice Department would almost certainly terminate it.
Biden announced the "parole in place" program this summer, even as Democrats attempted to make an election year pivot toward a tough-on-the border message.
Biden's day-one decision to end President Trump's tough border policies led to a massive influx in illegal immigration that eventually became a problem for Democrats on Election Day.
The "parole in place" program was just one example of Biden's unilateral, sweeping use of parole to let millions of immigrants into the country.
The chaos boosted Trump, who campaigned on carrying out the largest deportation operation in American history while highlighting the murders of American citizens by illegal aliens.

"Disgruntled" women who wanted Kamala Harris to be elected president, and who wanted Republican men to vote for her, have come up with a scheme to retaliate against those men.
They have announced a campaign for no "sex, dating, marriage and having children" with those men for four years.
It is the Telegraph that explained the idea comes from a previous stunt by Korean women.
The report said, 'Liberal women have sworn to go on sex strike over Donald Trump's election win. Mr. Trump swept to victory in Tuesday's presidential race that Democrats cast as a referendum on abortion rights and protections for women."
In fact, it was the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris administration that pushed its abortion-for-all, and also transgenderism for children, ideologies into all parts of American government, even foreign policy.
The report said women now are threatening to punish men for voting for Trump.
The report said it was the Korean "4B movement" that gave them the idea.
"In one video shared on TikTok, a young woman pledges to go celibate and encourages others to delete dating apps in order to 'exercise sovereignty' over their bodies," the report explained.
"As a woman, my bodily autonomy matters and this is my way to exercise sovereignty over that," she said.
The abortion and transgenderism issues proved less impactful in this year's election than the disastrous economy allowed by Biden and Harris, and the wide-open southern border that allowed in millions of illegal aliens.
Democrats and other leftists also blamed Trump for appointing the Supreme Court justices who overturned the faulty Roe v. Wade opinion that created a "right" to abortion nationally.
Actually, all the decision did was move the regulation of the nation's lucrative abortion industry from the federal government to states.
Multiple women on social media promised to pursue the Korean women's agenda.
"An obscure, largely online branch of Korean feminism, the 4B Movement started in the mid 2010s, around the same time as the #MeToo movement in the U.S., in response to a wave of reports about violence towards women, and gender equality issues," the report said explaining that movement uses the ideology of no sex.
