President-elect Donald Trump and his newly chosen Border Czar Tom Homan have vowed to crack down on the open border practices instituted by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the policies that have allowed millions of illegal aliens including criminals and terrorists into the United States.
And, according to a report in the New York Post, agents for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement are ready to pack up their desks and start marching border patrol.
Trump and Homan have vowed to "flood" sanctuary cities with officers in their effort, the report said.
The goal would be the arrests of millions of illegals who broke the law to enter the U.S. and have been roaming American streets.
The plan is that officers, thousands of them, who have been desk-bound making out paperwork for illegals for several years will be back on the streets.
"The federal agency has a total workforce of about 21,000 employees, which includes non-law enforcement personnel who handle administration work, according to a Department of Homeland Security budget overview," the report said.
It explained the number of personnel to be reassigned isn't clear yet, but what is clear is that Trump will have to work to rebuild the agency, and it has been depleted of manpower and funding under Joe Biden's regime.
The report cited estimates that about two-thirds of the officers now are working behind desks, but the rank-and-file are thrilled to be back at work "catching criminals that Biden let roam freely in the country for the last four years without any consequences."
In a recent interview with The Post Homan also put sanctuary cities, those regions protecting illegal aliens from federal law enforcement actions, on notice.
"If they're not willing to do it then get out of the way — we're coming," Homan said.
Sources told the publication there are dozens of vacancies in some of the ICE offices that will need to be funded and filled.
That's the result of the Biden-Harris agenda for open borders, the report explained.
Trump, whose first term was marked by border security, has seen a remarkable development since his election. Before he even takes office, there are confirmed reports that a migrant caravan of some 3,000, heading for the U.S. southern board had been cut in half by those no longer attempting to break into the U.S.

An outgoing member of Congress, Rep. Wiley Nickel, D-N.C., has proposed the formation of a "shadow government" through which Democrats can fight all the advances they perceive President-election Donald Trump likely will achieve.
Listen to Nickel's address on the floor of the U.S. House.
Social media commenters wondered, "This sounds like a threat to our democracy," and "Just start your own damn country why don't ya?"
Also, "Treason," and "This guy needs to be arrested for inciting division in Congress."
A report at the Gateway Pundit, which reposted the Nickel comments, said, "Democrats and Trump-haters in the DC Swamp went to great lengths to hide their efforts to destroy President Trump, his family, individuals associated with his campaign, his top administration officials, and eventually, his supporters from 2016 to October 2024. This time around, Democrats apparently aren't going to hide their plans to thwart the President and his administration."
It called the video, previously posted by independent journalist Kyle Becker, "disturbing."
Nickel proposed Sen. Adam Schiff as a shadow attorney general, Rep. Jahanna Hayes as shadow education secretary, Rep. Greg Meeks as shadow secretary of state, and more.
Becker explained, "Democrats are denying the results of the 2024 election."
The Gateway Pundit said, "They are trying to form a "shadow government" to defy and undermine President Trump's authority. The Democratic Party is trying to lead an unconstitutional 'insurrection' against Trump."
Nickel did not run for re-election this year, and his seat quickly was snapped up by a Republican.

Taxpayers in Colorado are being stuck with a bill that will total in the millions of dollars because a forensic lab tech for the state's bureau of investigation "cut corners" with DNA tests that now have undermined the results in hundreds of criminal cases.
Colorado Public Radio reported the next step in the disaster is for the CBI to reach a contract deal with a Wisconsin company that is to assess the state's forensics lab and its operations.
That comes after former forensic tech Yvonne "Missy" Wood was found "to have manipulated DNA test results of more than 800 cases."
"CBI told lawmakers that it will cost almost $7.5 million to retest DNA sample tests and potentially retry cases affected," the report said.
The disaster resulted after Woods' 29 years with the CBI, and her involvement in multiple high-profile cases, including the 2003 investigation of the late NBA star Kobe Bryant on accusations of rape.
An internal affairs investigation at the CBI was opened in 2023 and Woods was placed on leave. She then retired before the investigation was finished but the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, which was helping, opened a criminal investigation of her just days ago.
The alleged failures surfaced when an intern reviewing DNA testing and reports found some data was missing, the report said.
State authorities have identified 809 cases going back to 2014 in which Woods was involved.
The situation should not have surprised anyone, as her co-workers had warned of her reputation for cutting corners and there even had been earlier claims of faulty evidence.
Officially, an investigation showed she didn't falsify DNA matches but did deviate from standard protocols.
The costs now are estimated to reach $3 million to retest 3,000 cases, and another $4.3 million for the review and post-conviction processes that will be needed to resolve case questions.
"Two watchdog groups, the American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado and the Korey Wise Innocence Project from the University of Colorado Law School sent a joint letter to CBI seeking clarity in the Woods investigation Wednesday," the report said.
Both groups have expressed concern about how Woods' work was allowed to continue for so long without intervention by officials.
"CBI allowed Missy Woods to alter forensic evidence for years. This misconduct brings CBI's entire forensic operation into question, and a thorough, independent audit, followed by full disclosure of the results to stakeholders and the public is essential," Emma Mclean-Riggs, ACLU of Colorado lawyer, said in a statement.
Prosecutors have been making adjustments in some of the affected cases already, with a murder conviction that ended with a life sentence being reduced to 42 years in one situation.

Billionaire Elon Musk and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy have been tasked by President-elect Donald Trump to go through the federal government and cut down on waste.
Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX executive who bought Twitter, got rid of a significant percentage of its staff and is watching it still perform in the marketplace, once estimated he could reduce federal spending by $2 trillion.
Most of the bureaucratic reaction has been fear and loathing so far, from entrenched federal payroll recipients who want no more work and no less pay.
But not at NASA.
A report at Daily Mail explains staff members there "are calling on Elon Musk to 'clean house.'"
It's partly because of the millions of taxpayer dollars that have gushed through the agency on the way to racist "diversity, equity and inclusion" programs.
"A former NASA employee told DailyMail.com that NASA's DEI is 'destroying America's ability to compete with China in space because the Biden-Harris administration will only fund programs that feature it.'"
In the overall scheme of federal spending, NASA's role is less than many other agencies, with a budget of some $20 billion.
But large parts of that money now are going, according to spending reports during the Biden-Harris administration, "to universities and consulting firms to support 'environmental justice' and initiatives that 'embrace greater diversity and inclusive practices.'"
For instance, LMI Consulting got $2 million in 2023 to "incorporate and deeply engrain diversity, inclusion, equity and accessibility in the culture and business."
Booz\ Allen Hamilton took $3 million for NASA's "office of diversity and equal opportunity," and another $7 million last month went for "minority-serving institutions."
The report said that's even as there are budget shortfalls for the agency's main mission.
Software engineer Kyle Sorensen told he hopes Musk will "clean house."
Its Jet Propulsion Laboratory laid off 325 employees from its workforce recently, on top of 535 let go months back.
NASA also gave a private organization $900,000 for "increasing diversity and inclusion in the leadership of completed space missions by establishing an ad hoc committee to recommend actions to increase diversity, inclusion, equity and accessibility in the leadership of space mission proposals."
"DailyMail.com uncovered more DEI grants worth missions that had not published in the spending report," the report said.
Another former employee told the publication, "NASA JPL will lay off almost a thousand workers this year to make budget space for a plethora of ridiculous word salad DEI and environmental programs which contribute nothing to actual space exploration. DEI is a full employment program for people with otherwise useless degrees."
Melania Trump's second tenure as First Lady is going to look different than her first. The wife of President-elect Donald Trump intends to be a "part-time" occupant of the White House, insiders told the New York Post.
The First Lady will divide her time between Washington D.C. and her husband's estates in New York and Florida, the outlet reported.
“Melania will be the first lady, but only on her terms,” the Mar-a-Lago insider said. “She’ll do the big events. But no ladies’ tea and no — or very few — interviews.”
The source said that Melania will prioritize her 18-year-old son Barron, who is in his freshman year of college at New York University.
“She views winning as the main show, and the rest she’ll do as she pleases,” the source continued. “She’s really in the driver’s seat as to her duties at the White House.
“Melania will be a part time first lady — while being a full-time mother and wife.”
Melania confirmed earlier this year that Barron is living at his family's former residence of Trump Tower, in Manhattan, while he attends school.
Barron was still a child when Melania first moved into the White House during her husband's first term. Like her husband, the former supermodel entered Washington with no political background, and the press treated the couple with more or less open contempt.
Melania was largely absent from the campaign trail this year, although she joined her husband for a historic rally at Madison Square Garden in October and criticized his opponents' harsh rhetoric in numerous interviews.
Indeed, Melania has squarely blamed Democrats for the assassination attempts against her husband - and she is no longer feigning interest in rules of political decorum after the horrific treatment her family has received.
While President-elect Trump met the Biden family at the White House this week, Melania snubbed Jill Biden at a traditional tea, reportedly because of the FBI's shocking raid of Mar-A-Lago two years ago.
Melania told the French publication Paris Match that she doubted Jill Biden's sincerity after a gunman almost killed President-elect Trump in July.
"I do question, however, whether Jill’s concern was genuine as a few days prior she referred to my husband as ‘evil’ and a ‘liar,’" Melania Trump said.
"It was obvious that the onslaught of rhetoric from Democrat leaders and the mainstream media was so deeply embedded in our nation’s consciousness it prompted an attempt to assassinate Donald."
The FBI raided the home of Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan a week after the betting platform predicted the runaway win for President-elect Donald Trump, the New York Post reported. Law enforcement recovered a cellphone and other electronic devices from the 26-year-old's Manhattan apartment.
Agents descended on Coplan's home around 6 a.m. Wednesday, demanding he turn over the devices. According to the Post's exclusive report, a source called this raid "grand political theater at its worst" and similar to what made Trump furious when they did it to him.
"They could have asked his lawyer for any of these things. Instead, they staged a so-called raid so they can leak it to the media and use it for obvious political reasons," the source added.
There's no word on what the feds were after, but the source believes it had to do with the correct call on Trump's easy win against Vice President Kamala Harris. "This is obvious political retribution by the outgoing administration against Polymarket for providing a market that correctly called the 2024 presidential election," the person told the Post.
Polymarket correctly called the presidential race early on Election Day. The events-based trading platform had Trump's odds at 58.6% compared to Harris' at just 41.4%.
This was a departure from the dead heat the rest of the pollsters were predicting heading into Nov. 5, and the feds may suspect market manipulation or election interference. However, the company insists that everything about its forecasting is above board.
"Polymarket is a fully transparent prediction market that helps everyday people better understand the events that matter most to them, including elections," a representative for the company said. "We charge no fees, take no trading positions, and allow observers from around the world to analyze all market data as a public good," the spokesperson added.
Notably, Polymarket received a cash injection of $70 million from Trump friend Peter Thiel. There are also photographs of Coplan and Donald Trump Jr., which could hint at a possible friendship between the two.
It's possible that given this political climate, people who are friendly with the Trump family automatically have targets on their backs. After all, the FBI raided Trump's private home in August 2022 over allegedly mishandled classified documents while he was already cooperating with the feds, and this could be a similar operation against Coplan.
Coplan admonished President Joe Biden's administration for the raid. "It’s discouraging that the current administration would seek a last-ditch effort to go after companies they deem to be associated with political opponents," Coplan posted to X, formerly Twitter, Thursday.
"We are deeply committed to being non-partisan, and today is no different, but the incumbents should do some self-reflecting and recognize that taking a more pro-business, pro-startup approach may be what would have changed their fate this election. Polymarket has provided value to 10's of millions of people this election cycle, while causing harm to nobody. We're deeply proud of that," he added.
It’s discouraging that the current administration would seek a last-ditch effort to go after companies they deem to be associated with political opponents. We are deeply committed to being non-partisan, and today is no different, but the incumbents should do some self-reflecting…

In 2022, Polymarket stopped doing business in the U.S. after the company was fined $1.4 million for failing to register with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Coplan announced just a week before the raid that the company would return to trading stateside, though some were able to continue using the platform with a VPN.
It's unclear what the raid was about, but it wouldn't be the first time Biden's administration went after a political opponent if Coplan is right. Hopefully, Trump's recent election will prevent lawfare in the future.

Afterward, the news was also announced on his official X account through a video statement from his employer, The Salem News Channel, which was read by his colleague and guest host, Mark Davis.
“Join us in praying for Dennis's quick recovery from a back injury!” the November 14 post was captioned.
In the video, Mark Davis reiterated the information that was previously shared on the PragerU post and stated that he had already extended his best wishes for the host.
He encouraged his friends, admirers, and listeners to join him in "praying" for Dennis Prager's "quick recovery."
Davis also announced a roster of guest presenters, including Jennifer Horn, Bob Frantz, and Carl Jackson, who will be temporarily taking over the hosting duties of his designated program, which is broadcast from noon to 2 PM ET.
Dennis Prager is a renowned American conservative author, radio talk show presenter, and commentator, known to have supported conservative causes, nationwide.
He is a co-founder of PragerU, an online platform that creates brief educational videos with the objective of promoting conservative values and ideas. Since 1999, he has been a nationally syndicated radio presenter, broadcasting from Los Angeles.
Prager's syndicated program addresses a diverse array of subjects, such as politics, religion, and culture.
He has made appearances on approximately 400 stations nationwide, actively promoting conservative ideology.
The Rational Bible, Still the Best Hope, and Happiness Is a Serious Problem are only a few of his nine published books.
Along with producer Allen Estrin, Dennis started PragerU in 2011 to make five-minute films that taught students about a variety of topics, including economics and politics.
Those films have been instrumental in teaching teens and young adults about issues surrounding civics and politics in a way that has been frequently overlooked in the public education system in recent years.

Organized labor almost always has sided with Democrats on elections.
Rarely have unions, especially the majors, done anything but go left with their endorsements and financial support.
This year, however, it was different for the Teamsters, with no endorsement after internal polling showed most of the union's members supporting Trump.
Now, Teamsters President Sean O'Brien went one step – a huge leap – further. He said the time for Democrat Senate Leader Chuck Schumer and former Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is "over."
A report in the Post Millennial explained he made a number of accusations about Democrats in an interview with Fox.
And they need, specifically Schumer and Pelosi, to admit their "time is over."
Pelosi left House leadership when the GOP took the majority in the last election, and she's one of 435 members now, although influential among her own party. Schumer is the outgoing Senate majority leader, as the Republican Party now has taken the majority there too.
"I think they lost touch with the working class people. It was clearly evident in the election results. And look, this was an economic election, and we still have a lot of our members who are working-class Americans that are hurt, and they felt the struggle at the pump," O'Brien explained in the interview.
"They felt the struggle at the grocery store. And instead of embracing and trying to find a solution to the problem, the Democrats took a position that their opinion mattered: it's all that mattered, and they wanted to talk down to a lot of working-class people,"
He confirmed "social issues" are important, "but at the end of the day, it's putting food on the table, being able to afford a home. And despite, you know, the rhetoric of 'This is the best economy ever,' you know it really hasn't been. So that's what I believe it came down to, was an economic decision."
He said Democrats "have got a lot of soul-searching to do."
"At the end of the day, a lot of these issues are important but what is more important is providing an opportunity for your family, putting food on the table, saving some money and living the American dream.
"The Democrat Party needs to take a look in the mirror and say maybe Chuck Schumer's time is over, maybe … Pelosi's time is over. Let's figure out who is going to be the best for the party."
He said members now are waiting on President-elect Donald Trump to see what solutions are offered.

President-elect Donald Trump returned to the White House Wednesday, holding a meeting with Joe Biden as the two discussed plans for a peaceful transition of power.
Biden greeted Trump, saying: "Mr. President-elect and former President, Donald, congratulations and looking forward to having a, like we said, a smooth transition.
"[We'll] do everything we can to make sure you are accommodated and what you need and we're gonna get a chance to talk about some of that today. Welcome. Welcome back."
"Politics is tough and it's in many cases not a nice world," Trump told Biden after the two shook hands.
"It is a nice world today and I appreciate very much a transition that's so smooth. It'll be as smooth as it can get and I very much appreciate that, Joe."

One social media commenter summed it up succinctly: "Boo hoo."
That was a reaction to multi-millionaire entertainer Whoopi Goldberg's claim that she, too, works for a living and struggled under the economy of the past few years.
That would be the economy under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, who Goldberg pushed in the 2024 election, in which Americans were tortured with inflation of some 22%, gasoline prices as high as $6 or $7 per gallon, skyrocketing energy costs, some grocery categories nearly doubling in price and more.
Apparently an $8 million annual paycheck, and a net worth of $60 million, doesn't cover costs like it used to.
It was RedState that "apologized" to her.
"Apparently, an apology is in order, y'all. I can only speak for myself, but it appears that I've been a bit too hard on Whoopi Goldberg. That's right. Turns out that the moderator of ABC's clown show, 'The View,' has had a 'hard time' over the last four years, too — just like every other American who 'works for a living,'" the site posted.
It was Parade that previously estimated her net worth at $60 million, and quoted her own explanation of her nickname, "Whoopi."
She previously told a New York publication the name comes out of her stand-up comic era some 40 or 50 years ago: "When you're performing on stage, you never really have time to go into the bathroom and close the door. So if you get a little gassy, you've got to let it go. … So people used to say to me, 'You're like a whoopee cushion.' And that's where the name came from."
RedState noted it was when the conversation on the talk show turned to President-elect Donald Trump's landslide victory over Harris.
"Co-host Sara Haines — who said she voted for Harris — was having a hard time understanding why working-class people voted for Trump with the belief that he will make things better for them," the report said.
"Enter Whoopi," it said.
"I'm sorry. When you have one candidate who has been running for 12 years — who lies and changes things — I appreciate that people are having a hard time. Me, too. I work for a living. If I had all the money in the world, I would not be here!" [audience laughs] So, I'm a working person [audience applauds]. You know? And my kid has has to feed her family. And my great granddaughter has to be fed by her parents. I know it's hard out there. But I also know that there are a lot of things that we just said, 'Nope, I'm just gonna go this way.'"
Another on social media: "Living on an annual salary of 8 million dollars a year for being on tv a few hours a day has got to be so hard! She really gets it!"
Others opined: "Delusional" and "pathetic."
